Least disappointed that they are gay. To me gay is not a negative thing.

I would be most disappointed to hear he or she is addicted to an illegal drug.
If they told me they were gay I wouldn’t be disappointed at all. I’d just be loving and understanding.

Most disappointed would be im addicted to an illegal drug( if other than marijuana). This would be more disappointing because its not a secret anymore as it was back in the days… We all know the consequences and destruction this path would lead to

Least disappointed would be im gay. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with being “gay”.

Most disappointed? “I brought a gun to school today.” All of the other statements you’ve listed are wholly personal. Don’t get me wrong, they would break my heart all the same, but there is a line crossed with the deliberate action of bringing a gun to school, presumably to hurt or kill others with. Hurting yourself is one level… hurting others is another.

Least disappointed? “I’m gay.” This one doesn’t both me a smidge. I believe that sexual preference is something a person is born with. If he/she is gay, then they’re gay. No big deal. I’d probably ask if they had a boy/girlfriend, and if they did, I’d invite him or her to dinner.

I wouldn’t be disappointed if my daughter came to me and said “Mom, I’m a lesbian.” because I am bisexual myself. I would support her and help her understand her feelings. My husband doesn’t have a problem with gays either, we have actually talked about this before. It doesn’t change how wonderful she is or my love for her.

I would be most disappointed if she came and told me she was suicidal. I would be glad she told me though, most teenagers won’t open up to their parents enough to tell them they are feeling suicidal. I would most likely make her get counseling to face her demons head on, help her in any way I can. I am pretty familiar with this subject, on a personal level. I would rather my baby girl, be safe an sound mentally, than dead.

I would be disappointed by the following-
the pregnancy
addition to drugs or alcohol
bringing a gun to school
joining a gang

as far as attempted suicide, I would be very depressed and heart broken, but I wouldn’t be disappointed in my child like I would be with the others. Depression is a medical disorder, and would never judge my child for suffering with it. I would find it admirable, actually, if my child was brave enough to tell me that he/she attempted suicide, so I could help them.

I would not be disappointed in the slightest if any of my kids found out they were gay. They deserve to love whomever they want, and I would support a heterosexual and homosexual child the exact same.

Back to the question- the one that would DISAPPOINT me the most would be bringing a gun to school. This indicates a huge social and mental problem in my child. Whether or not he used the gun, they probably brought it with the intention of doing so. If he had used the gun, many children could be injured or killed, and his future would be completely altered in a VERY negative way.

The one that would disappoint me least would be, as I said homosexuality.

Yeah I wouldn’t use the word disappointed but the general idea is

Most disappointed- bringing a gun to school or attempting suicide. Why- Where did you get the gun? And it would ruin their future. and Well trying to kill yourself is self explanatory of why it is bad.

Least disappointed- I’m gay. I’m going to be honest. I wouldn’t be comfortable with it at first but I wouldn’t love them any less or be disappointed at all.
