considering the dangers of each drug could u prefer ur son to drink alcohol or smoke marijuana. marijuana cant kill u in an overdose alcohol can.

I would have to say marijuana, despite the fact that it is illegal. The odds of him doing something really dumb increase either way, but way more so with alcohol.

Alcohol mindlessly numbs your senses, while marijuana can cause your mind to make connections and see things from different angles
possession of marijuana will undoubtedly get your son into more trouble than possession of alcohol
drunk driving will undoubtedly be much more serious than driving high
marijuana (assuming it is being smoked, not baked or vaporized) is worse for the lungs, alcohol is worse for the liver
when being tested for, marijuana stays in ones system much longer than alcohol
alcohol is more likely to make someone do something stupid (violent or causing injury), and makes you feel like crap the next day, while weed will most likely relax the consumer
