Let’s say your son/daughter wants to have a party. Would u provide alcoholic beverages for all their underaged friends that will be in attendance at the party?

absolutely not!
Absolutely not! You could get SO screwed doing that.
NO!!!!!!!!
No, because it is illegal. (Is this a joke of some kind? I don’t get it.)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
NEVER !
I’m not a fan of jail
nope
Absolutely not. It is illegal and dangerous. Very bad idea.
are you insane?
noway!!!!!
no way…they can get their own when they are 19
Nope
No! That could cause some major legal trouble.
No!
No effin’ way! That’s COMPLETELY irresponsible parenting (not to mention illegal).
hell no, they’ll learn to have fun without and remembered what they did the night before
you can go the jail for that. NEVER
heck no! and im not even a mom!
Only if I wanted to go to prison.
Of course not. What type of parent will do this.
Of course not, it is illegal
No, if any kids got hurt, died, anything at all, you would be completely responsible.
Only to myself, to get through the party.
It is a criminal offense, and the amount of trouble that could result would not be worth my child liking me for one day.
Hell no I dont want to get sued!!
no way can you say blabber mouths + alcohol= jail time.
no no no NO… think about it.. if something was to happen the parents would not only have a huge fine but they could be sued for everything they have… A friend of mine’s boss did that for her son and his friends and one of the kids died.. lucky for her the parents of the dead kid didn’t sue.. but think about what she must feel knowing that a kid died in her house bc of alcohol.. horrible..
No, for several reasons.
-You would get in trouble if you were caught providing alcohol.
-This will encourage your child to socialize with kids who are into underage drinking; which a lot of time goes along with drug use; so you are setting your child up for failure.
-You should teach your child that there are other fun things to do with their friends rather than just getting drunk.
-It would make you a bad parent.
No…to much risk involved.
Sure – get one of her hot 15 year old girlfriends drunk, sleep with her……oh did I mention the jail time after that – NOT
No because it is still illegal. You will be held liable if any of those kids leave and get hurt or hurt someone else. YOU… not them. When you allow underage kids into your home they are considered your responsibility under the law. Not only could their parents take legal action against you, but so could anyone else affected by their actions while under the influence.
NOT A GOOD IDEA!
Absolutely not! It makes me sick that some parents actually encourage their kids to drink. While they’re at it, why not encourage smoking and drugs and unprotected sex? A parent’s role is to protect and teach their kids, not to be their friend.
NO.
You would be come liable for anything that happened, and would probably be arrested.
no, let them get it themselves. they need to experience getting stuff underage
I think it is LEGAL to supervise underagers if they remain in the house and drink, but there are WAY too many things that could go wrong (too many people, kids not telling their parents, your rep as a parent going down the drain, kids getting SMASHED and you having to deal with them)
You can do it if you want to be a felon. I grew up in the 80′s and it was OK. Today it is taboo and a felony in most states, so you should think twice about doing it….so my answer is no
UM HELL NO …thats too much responsibility on your part . you have to be responsible for every single one there and you could be fined ALOT if you get caught. Or their parents find out and press chargers. Stick to getting your own kids drunk but not others.
no do not you would be held responsible for their actions. Do not do something that you have doubt about it. TO be a good parent you will do the right thing do not provide drinks to any of your kids or kids friends it will only bite you in the a.s.s. later
You must be drunk!!! Go get help….AA
Of course not, what kind of stupid question is this?
Listen….
Teenagers…..Alcohol…….Responsibility……
those words don’t match up very well.
Depends. No if it was just me trying to be a “cool” mom.
Yes if I already knew that they could get it from somewhere else. I’d rather be the one setting the drinking rules. I would collect up all the car keys and make them all stay the night. And keep a VERY close eye on them. What’s the point of them going out to try to hide it and possibly die in a car wreck when I can keep them honest and at home?
hell no.
Little girl, are you trying to use this to convince mommy she needs to buy you some booze so your friends can get wild and feel each other up? Its not working.
Heres a tip though, just act like you are drunk with your friends and do a bunch of wild things that you’ll regret the next day. That’ll teacher her not to say no to you.
no, and I wouldn’t provide alcoholic beverages for my son/daughter even if they didn’t have friends coming over for a party
I would like to as long as it was completely supervised, but then on the other hand i wouldn’t because the other kid’s parents may not be too happy!!
My mum never provided me with alcohol
(I don’t have a teenage child as i am only 19yrs old)
If my teenage son were at your party drinking alcohol that you provided you would have some trouble
NO! What are you thinking? Why would you even do such a vile thing that also happens to be illegal?
No! That would be setting a bad exaple as well as IT IS AGAINST THE LAW!!!!!!!!!!!
For those answerers outraged by this question, it looks like the asker is the teenage daughter, and wants to compare her parents to other parents on answers.
To answer the question, there is no way I’d be providing alcohol for any underage person. Not only is it corrupting a minor, but the charge and punishment gets greater as the number or minors increases. Also, by providing this alcohol, you’re showing your children that it’s okay to break the law. Then we wonder how people find it within themselves to shoot or rob other people.
Finally, giving alcohol to teenagers is doing harm. Their bodies can’t handle it the way adults can. They also are obviously planning to drink and drive from the party – you become a conspirator in that crime, as well.
Not no, but HELL NO!!! Not only do I not want to contribute to my child becoming an alcoholic, but it’s against the law and could cause other children to have an accident. Then YOU are responsible because you served alcohol to minors! You should treat other people’s children with the same care and concern you would want them to treat your child with!!! Not purposly do thing to harm them!!! You are the adult, you can’t be your kids friend, they need you to be the PARENT!!!
