Why do doctors always tell you never to take pain medication with alcohol?

when they work so much better that way?!?

Does that son of a biscuit want me to just go around hurting all the time or is he po’ed that I don’t trust him enough to let him cut on me yet?

I hate doctors and doctors offices and hospitals and I don’t see an end to me hating these things anytime soon.

I don’t hate my doc specifically I hate all docs generally. I am terrified of having surgery.

Nah. It’s a scam they’ve got going.

It’s a well-known fact that alcohol numbs all pain.

The pills are just a placebo so that you keep going back for more.

If you took them with alcohol you’d be sorted and you’d not need to go back.

That is how people accidentally o.d. on drugs. You get disoriented & confused. Then you cannot remember if you did take your meds. Then you take too much, you stop breathing, & then your dead.

Alcohol thins your blood out, and so does pain medication.

Also, Alcohol intensifies the effects of lots of medications. It could have serious consequences if taken with certain kinds of meds.

My solution: Double your alcohol consumption to feel less pain.

So don’t go to the doctor. If you resent doctors so much then don’t go. You may as well not take your medication.

Doctors are much smarter than you are when it comes to what should be prescribed. So quit complaining and show some respect.

Pain medications – analgesic drugs- already have a small amount of a substance that is used to make alcohol. It may cause your heart to fail… or your kidneys.. or your lungs…

Alcohol with most forms of Tylenol leads to liver damage fairly quickly. You could die.

And….many prescription painkillers come with some form of *codiene* too. *That* plus alcohol can lead to brain damage and heart stoppage fairly quickly. You could die.

And that’s before the alcohol messes with your judgement and you forget how many pills you took.

Taking medication with alcohol can cause you to go into cardiac arrest. You might go to sleep and never wake up. I advise you not to do it. Your medication working properly is more important than a drink of alcohol.
