I was told that if a guy does Methodone or coke and you are on any type of birth control you can still get pregnant is it true? Im worried due to the fact im a week late and I have a son that just turned one on the 8th of July and I did not know this man did Meth before I slept with him. So if anyone could let me know it would be great thanks a bunch.

That;s a myth! Youre probably late because your stressed or other things is going on. If anything, drugs will lower the guys aperm count and it would be harder to get prego!

uhhh… don’t think that is true, but just to be on the safe side. Take and test and maybe get yourself checked out… if he didn’t tell you about his drug habbit maybe he didn’t tell you about other things also. Hope everything works out…

…. you can get pregnant no matter if the guy is on drugs or not..its called sex..and it makes babies.. use a condom and stay on the pill… his drug use is not going to effect your pill.. it could how ever give you desease like HIV and hepitus.. use a condom or dont have sex with this type of person

I’m not sure, but I think thats bs. I think the drugs probably reduced his sperm count if anything.
The only problem is that oral birth control’s effectiveness is compromised by a lot of things. You know how it says on the label that it’s 99% effective when taken properly? …its really hard to take properly!! You have to take it at the same exact time every day and you have to not be taking any other medications and even certain foods can upset the effectiveness of oral birth control. If you really cannot afford to get pregnant… the best thing to do is to double up your birth control – like use a condom *and* take the pill.
Sperm are feisty lil buggers and its their purpose in life to meet one of our eggs… and they are good at what they do.
Oh, and if he’s a druggie he’s at a wayyyyy much higher risk of having an std through needle use… and if you sleep with him then you are really gambling with you and your son’s lives.
