Solomon said to “Teach your child to choose the right path and when they are older they will remain on it.” Best advice I’ve heard. Be strict. Make sure he knows between right and wrong. Make sure to spend Father/Son time with him so he will always know you love him. Teach him the difference and the whys for the right and wrong also!

In that every family with its offspring is an evolutionary experiment unto itself of the human expression and experience, some of those expressions are more primitive than others, for example, many revolve around brutal dominance and control issues. To raise children who can make wise decisions for themselves, it is vital to get dominance and control issues out of the way very early and to nurture an environment in which our children have copious opportunities, while still in the safety of the nest, to make their own decisions and to suffer the consequences of those decisions. That’s how we learn. As we raise our families and have that once in a lifetime opportunity to express our vision of the way the world should be, we can only try our best to rise above brutal, primitive issues as best as we can (no one is a ever a perfect parent) and teach our children to rise even higher than our vision. The first step to rising significantly in parental vision is understanding and appreciating the history of your lineage. Also, enhance and strengthen critical-thinking skills. Push spatial explorative activities, math, objective thinking versus subjective, self-study and the pursuit of excellence.
