What can you do about two young adults who wont change their bad ways?

Hello everyone I’m asking a question for my friend and was wondering if anyone could help?
My friend Lina has two sons the younger one is 20 and the older one is 23. They both have a problem avoiding trouble. They get in fights, smoke weed and drink alcohol. Lina’s sons have refused to enroll in school or better their ways. Her husband and her don’t have an idea of what to do. Can anyone help?

Call the cops when they are doing that stuff and they will be court ordered into treatment. some jail time with no commissary privileges aand nasty jail food can help.

These boys are legal adults who can make thier own choices in life. Lina and her husband have to recognize that their children are grow up now and it’s time to cut the apron strings.

Stop participating in the bad behavior by giving them a place to live. They COULD have college degrees and careers, instead. When they’re ready to get back on that course, I’d help them.

Toss them out of the house. They are adults and not going to change the behavior that they enjoy if it has no consequences.
Doing what you like when you like is fun, no doubt. If mommy and daddy support you and let you act like azzes all the time, why change?

.The guys are legal adults and free to make their own choices. Their parents don’t have to allow that behavior in their home, but if the guys are living on their own then all their folks can do is hope for the best and express their feeligs on what is happening. If they are living at home, I’d recommend their parents make it clear they have to “shape up, or ship out” immediately.
