My family had just moved here so we’re not familiar with the place yet. I just want to know how I can get information regarding addiction treatment centers within the area. My son is an alcoholic, and I had just recently convinced him to get himself treated. Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

He has stayed w/ my spouse, 18 yr old son on and off for past 20 yrs. Has been through 2 60 day treatment programs this year alone. Has worked on getting a a “good” job for over 2 mos. When he finally gets it, he relapses and screws it up. Our father, as well as his sponsor at AA both think he needs to be commited for at least 6 mos to a year. After a 6 day binge, he is willing to seek add’l help, but problem seems to always come up after he spends 2 mos. trying to get a job that once he gets it, he starts a binge, which is precisely what just happened. My husband no longer wants him to stay w/ us, he has no home, needs further treatment. I have researched what it takes to commit someone, but since he is willing to go for treatment, not an issue. Our dad thinks we can commit him and then we be the one to judge when he can be released. I have been his #1 enabler, but NO MORE. How to explain to dad this is not how commitment works? Can print out variety of research. HELP PLEASE!!
One major thing that presents a big obstacle is that my brother has not been able to work for approx. past 7 years. Therefore, he is homeless! He never has been able to follow through with any type of after care treatment when we allow him to stay with us. When he relapses, it causes a great deal of havoc within our home, so NO MORE staying w/ us. Has had 2 relapses after his last 60 day treatment program which ended only 2 mos. ago. With no job, no insurance, he is only entitled to state sponsored rehab programs. To me, he needs to address psychological issues MORE than his alcoholic tendencies. ANY SUGGESTIONS OTHER THAN THE OBVIOUS ONES OF ME ATTENDING AL-ANON, OF CEASING TO BE HIS ENABLER ARE MORE THAN WELCOME!!! THANKS A BUNCH !!!
As of latest writing of this question, brother is once again going to go into treatment center/rehab for his alcholism…..do they provide adequate mental health counselling in these rehabs? Think he needs to focus more on the psychological issues he has that perhaps can lead him to drink…..any suggestions???

i ran out of characters to finish the question, but you get the point. it started with prescott bush. arrested for treason, for financially supporting hitler and the natzi’s. his son george has been in th cia ever since atleast 1963, involved in countless black and false flag operations against other countries and the american people. george 1 went on to “off” kennedy for not following the program as well as open a major pipeline for drugs to travel into our country that has since never been closed. breeding crime with drugs they bring in, they justify ever growing police and prison presents. they create the problem, and come to your rescue with thier solution. people are so stupid. this is exactly how hitler came into power. he was elected too. this is a crime family that has used the same tactics on us. bush sir. took clinton under his wing grooming him for the white house , first in mena arkansas ware clinton turned his head to major drug smuggling operations of cocaine
in addition, the bush family is all for locking you up if your cought selling or useing illegal drugs, just so as long as they made thier money before hand. its win win for them. jeb bush delivered florida alright. anyone with half a brain can look at the whole story and see the american election was hi jacked, we were robbed. securecomm security company, ran by a bush and responsable for the trade tower security and the “wireing” of new security systems of the three buildings that fell on 9/11. lil bush, attacked our own country with a false flag operation on 9/11, blamed it on bin laden, we invaded them on a lie, went on to invade iraq on a lie…….when is enough enough with these terrorist?
metoo, TAKING OFF THE GLOVES!!! I LOVE A STRONG WOMAN!!! you go girl. but let us not forget the bush family and what they support. they are a drug dealing, murdering , natzi supporting crime family. george bush was not elected, he was placed into power by these scum bag murders he has for a family. the same belief system his “ansestors” had has been handed to him. the same things hitler did, so is bush doing. hitler attacked his own people and blamed it on others. bush did this on 9/11. 9/11 was a inside job. gravity, science and physics did not take a day off on 9/11. those buildings came down at free fall speed with explosives. in fact, you can watch the explosions all down the side of the buildings in front of the collapse happening faster than the actual fall of free fall speed. these war criminals and domestic terrorist must be punished the same as sadam was.
metoo, almost forgot….you said forgotten capture of osama bin laden? could you elaborate on that for me, source? its an interesting statement, thanks

Texas Mother Accused of Mutilating Baby

HOUSTON – A mother who claimed the family dog tore off her baby son’s genitals was arrested Friday and accused of mutilating the boy herself with a sharp instrument.

Katherine Nadal, 25, was led away in handcuffs while awaiting a court hearing on custody of the 3-month-old boy, Holden Gothia. She was charged with injury to a child and held on $100,000 bail.

Nadal had a history of prescription drug abuse and tested positive for cocaine and methadone the day after Holden was mutilated, authorities said.

Some of the story has been left out and there is a pic of her here tell me what you think? Is this the best treatment?
I am asking about prescription drugs here and I am specifically interested in psychiatric drugs, do you think that hooking people on mind altering addictive drugs is the best treatment?
“they shouldn’t be allowed to have children!!!! ”

That is a bad attitude, in fact it sucks, no one has the right to say this, the thing of it is is these are mind altering addictive drugs and people that are hooked on them and using them don’t know what they will or won’t do no more then a psychiatrist does, we need to stop this drug scourge we are calling best treatments, it is wrong and it is hurting and killing our people. This has to stop!
In Kentucky Wynema Worley was on antidepressant elavil and drove her little boy in the lake to die! She didn’t mean to I am sure it was what the elavil she was on did to her. I keep telling people and no one is listening, when is anyone going to listen that there is absolutely no valid and reliable scientific evidence for doing any of this, these psychiatrist and drugs need to stop. You are talking about Andrea Yates I think and there are others too.

My son said his friend who is supposedly addicted to ectasy will be getting an implant placed right under the skin. If he takes ectasy again, he will not be affected by the drug at all…..I told him I didn’t believe such a thing exists. If it were true, I’d sure we’d all know about this. Anyone ever hear such a thing?

I am watching intervention and thought that I should call or write them about my nephew. However, I am not sure if it will work because it seems that the people on this show are extreme drug addicts. My nephew, however, is 21, in college, has a job, but abuses drugs and alcohol. I’ve talked to his family as well as him, and he has done just about everything. He has been using drugs and alcohol regularly since he was 15. He doesn’t steal or anything to get drugs and he seems that he has a good head on his shoulders. However, I feel that he’s been doing too many drugs for too long. He seems to point fingers too (he’s had a hard life) and blames his mistakes on others.
The worst part is, his blame game seems justifiable so I don’t know how an intervention would help if the people that he’s blaming is asking him to stop using drugs. Any ideas?

I’m from Carson City, Nevada and I would like to know if I could find a drug treatment center here. My son Ethan has finally agreed to attend a treatment program to overcome his crystal meth addiction. He experienced the negative effects of the drugs to his body and he realized that there’s still hope for a better life. I’m so happy that he’s taking this step into changing his life for good. Please help us find a drug rehab. I want to have the old Ethan back.

My son is addicted to cocaine and needs help before he kills himself. I don’t have the money to send him to a treatment center and wonder if there are ones that use sliding scale or free.

My son who is 17 has a drinking problem. I found two big bottles of vodka in his room and vodka concealed in water bottles in his refrigerator. I have found a treatment center in the area that I have made an appointment with but my son refuses to go saying he doesn’t have a problem. The treatment center said I might have to get a Court order issued. How do I go about doing that if I can’t convince my son to go.
