My wife recently was released from jail on drug charges. She is addicted to crack cocaine. She convinced our adult son who is M.M.R. (Mildly Mentally Retarded ) to move in with her and be his payee for his SSD check that he receives each month from social security. I have already tried to contact The Local Social Security office and since my wife and I have been separated for four years they just think that I am just trying to get her into trouble as the jilted future ex-husband but I care about my son and she is genuinely taking advantage of him. Is there anyone I can call in Upstate N.Y. that can Investigate this?

because she tested positive for Meth when she gave birth. The baby was taken the following day and placed in a foster home for a couple of months and then given to our Aunt while my cousin has been going through drug rehab, parenting classes, etc. Well, my Aunt has had him for many months now… the baby is actually 11 months old. The courts have allowed my cousing to see the baby twice a week unsupervised now for a couple hours each day… and she recently put in for overnight visits (waiting for court approval). She says that she is “stage 4″ in the program. The court date to determine whether or not her rights will be severed or she’ll regain custody is in a couple months. Does it sound like the courts are heading in the direction of reuniting her with the baby? My Aunt is distraught because she is worried the courts will give my cousin custody. What do you think? Who do you think will get custody? Anyone know what “stage 4 means” and how the system works?? Thanks.
We’re in California. She has also signed away the rights to her older two children when she was found in a drug house and CPS was going to put the kids in foster care. She signed them over to their fathers. She never sees them. The man she is with, the father of the baby is a felon and is still doing drugs.

He has since been returned to his Dad. For reasons I don’t understand. The State of Fl. has filed charges on me for abandonment. Which has also been dropped. My question here is that Fl. has these laws where both parents have certain things they got to do. Like he has to go to anger management, parenting classes, etc. I have to provide them with the history of our custody battle here in Ca. But what the problem for me is they want us both to enroll in a sustance abuse program. I don’t understand why I need to do that. He is the one they concluded was a alcoholic. I have NEVER been on drugs or been convicted of any drug related crimes. I am certainly no alcoholic either. We have 1 year to complete this program. He has a little longer for his other ones. If I don’t do this in the amount of time they gave, then I could possibly lose my Parental Rights. According to the court. So even if I don’t feel it’s right, my son is more important. So does anyone know the cost and how long it takes?

up smoking pot. He has not wanted me to work for some time. I work two days a week every other week. I have had enough he was drunk on Christmas when we had family here and had to keep running to go get high. He even let his son drink here. I blew up. This man is 47 years old and he acts like he is 16. He goes to work and performs his job. He just can not be a father or a husband. He goes out every free moment he has from work. He dose not do one thing around the house. With the house or car and truck. He has two boys they are 16 & 18 he dose not spend any real time with them. I have a daughter she is 22 and pregnant and she said she will not come here again after the baby is born. She said she just won’t take the risk. I can’t blame her. I just don’t know how things have gotten so bad. I can not stand living this way I feel all alone. I have asked him to go get counseling for himself and us. He said he has no problem. I don’t fit into his plan in life. I don’t want to spend every night in the bar. I am waiting for my daughter to have the baby and then I plan on getting two jobs and get out of here. Am I wrong to do this? I just can’t take it anymore. Someone please help me what should I do?
My daughter lives in NY with her boyfriend. I live in PA. My daughter dose not want to take the chance of loosing her child while she is here because of his drug use and him involving all of us with him serving his oldest son drinks. My daughters boyfriend all so feels the same way he is fed up.

friends son was arrested in colorado for underage drinking. he was taken to the emergency room to get medical clearance for being so drunk. the sheriffs office stated they are not responsible for the bill. i disagree because the s.o. took him to remove their office of any liability and this decision was theirs since he was in their custody. any info?

my 15 year old nephew and his girlfriend
have an 8 month old daughter together and there both out of control, his girlfriend works 2 jobs but shes barley
home even when shes not working, she leaves the baby
with my drug addict nephew who barley takes care of her.

My sister tries to help
him as much as she can but she also works all day to
support all 4 of them.He has wild partys instead of taking
care of the baby and when he’s drunk he comes over to my
house and leaves the baby alone.

I dont want to get involved with anything because i cant
afford to take his daughter in right now.but should
i call child servises on them?
