Iam a single mother of 3 boys, the oldest being 20 the youngest 8.. My oldest son hates me because i was with an abusive man (not his father) for most of his life, and now he resents me. I have sinced divorced the guy, but my boy utterly hates my guts, he calls me names like whore…c…t..bitch,,,he uses me for every penny I have, because he has a child and knows i love his baby, so he uses her against me. threatening to take her away if i dont give him what he wants. I have given him so much all his life, i tried to be a good mother to all my boys, but living with an abusive man, it was so hard to make everyone happy. now 21 years later, i feel as if im just going to lose my mind. I have never really had thoughts of suicide, but now…Im seriously thinking about it. The kids would be better off without me. My job sucks. My boyfriend now, whom i love very much, is an alcoholic and is constantly flirting with FAT WOMEN. because thats his type. I mean before me, thats all he dated. So now im insecure about that. He is a good looking thin man. I feel so ugly. Even though Im NOT ugly, I have guys always telling me how beautiful I am, but I dont feel beautiful. I hate my life. I hate myself…Will I go to hell if I commit suicide??? I want to make sure, because I want to see my mom again and shes in heaven…I dont have anyone else to ask, so I thought i would ask you guys.. My mother is on her 3rd marriage and this guy she ran off and married shortly after I have my son, didn’t tell anyone just went. He is very bad into marijuana and I know he takes some of her pain meds that she has for different illnesses. He has recently failed a drug test at work for pot and his son is constantly stealing from them and pawning things for cocaine. Since getting with this guy, my mother has alienated her family (I am 30, brother is 27 and we have another bro that is 16 and sis is 13) My oldest brother has 2 daughters and I have a son, all babies. My mom has given up custody of the younger 2 to live with their father b/c they don’t have room for them. They are even building a new house and it is only 2 bdr. This past weekend was my grandmothers 75th bday, it was a surprise party and they were all supposed to stay with us at our beach house. My mother and her husband kept going to their rv, we know so he could smoke and not sure what else, rumors are he is also known as a cokehead. My mom has always seemed to have a decent head on her shoulders, always wanted to party like she was 18 though. They took off, did not tell anyone bye, my brother was in town from DE and left yesterday, she had no decency to tell him bye or was glad to see him or anything. I know the husband has been verbally abusive but I wonder if she is doing drugs along w/him the way she has distanced from everything and alienated everyone but “his” friends. I just don’t know, i am so upset but I can’t handle constantly worrying if i am going to get a phone call that she is dead. From those with family members that have been addicts, please give me some signs.
I am a drug addict, and so is my husband, we have a 12 year old son I never used drugs or alcahol during pregnancy but never the less I believe children show signs of the “disease”at early ages and everyone wants to call it ADD and then give the child who is already more apt to use because of the hereditary factors, they want to give the child ridalin?? a narcotic?? Just what they need right I say wrong you may as well give the little hyper terd a big fat line of cocaine to start his day… I refuse to give that drug to my son…How many agree with any of this…Hyper kids just need more attention there is no magic pill that will fill a void only you as a parent can fill and ever met a kid that was on ridalin for years all through childhood?? I have and they have nowhere jobs and turned out “slow” that drug along with any controlled substance messes up the greatest minds of even adults, imagine what it does to a kids mind after time…If you dont want your kid burnt out …
My son’s father used to have a coke habit, but he quit for awhile. We aren’t together and he has little to no contact with my son– I have primary custody of the child. But I’m beginning to suspect that he’s using harder drugs again.
It’s been long enough that I can’t remember what he was like when he was doing cocaine regularly.
He’s very good at hiding the signs. I want to know what to look for before I go to court for full custody of the child.

my boyfriend of near 7 months has begun to act VERYYYY weird last week… it ended for a lil while, by yesterday of all days! he started it up AGAIN!
what are the signs??? i am thinking he is doing it because before he was with me, he did it and quit cold turkey… during which time he wound up in jail for breaking into a house and stealing stuff…
well i’ve been with him for near 7 months now and i’ve NEVER seen him act the way he’s been acting yesterday/today/last week for a day or 2.
he has coughing fits and then spits up mucus, he cant sleep too well, when he is asleep, he is constantly twitching/tossing/turning.., he is paranoid (he actually went to his shrink a few days ago cuz he said he felt like everyone was out to get him),he looks pale to me, he talks with a stutter and like a weird way to his voice… like he is shaking when he talks, thats what i can best describe it as… also, he asks me the same questions 2 and 3 times within 5 minz of each other…. he is MEAN and telling me he likes other women, and might wanna break up with me, but when i tell him ok im going to pack my stuff and leave, he tells me “no no no, i dont want u to leave, i love u baby, i want u and u only, come here and shut up and kiss me… then he’ll say how he wants a family with me and my son and our own baby together 1 day… i dont get it!!!!
i had my sister pick me up for the night… i am at a lkoss of whats to come with him/what to do…. do u think he’ll come around and text/call me soon? is that how it works when ur doing crack???
someone PLZ inform me… i cant stop crying.. im a wreck… i just want a straight answer from me… weather or not he wants to end things or not… he still hasent told me for sure that we are done… he is toying with me and im going CRAZY!… also, when he first started acting weird, he was out with a few friends and i met up with him later that night and when i hugged him, he smelled like somnething burning, and like bug spray mixed in. i even asked if he was smokin crack, and he told me that i have his word that he’ll never do that again… but that smell was WEIRD! (the ppl he was hanging out with, the persons house they were at, she is a major crack head… i know her)
A nephew, age 46, wants to move in with me for a while as he was put out of his home. I let him stay here once before because he can really be nice but he can and often is verbally abusive, a total slob, will do nothing around the house, disappeared for days on end without calling, When he showed up he would sleep for two days. He’s really smart but doesn’t seem to want to do anything for himself. He does day work for a temp agency when work is available.
I want to be helpful but am afraid to go through the hell I went through with him the last time. I don’t know anything about drugs but it seems there must be some answer to this problem.
