i am totally at a loss here people, without going into the personal aspects of every second of every day i’m alive, i need to give some clarification because i have some serious issues here i’m dealing with, and i need my friends to help me as much as you can, ok so here goes:
i need to know how YOU really feel about tough love, good or bad, i have an alcoholic son, who is getting more and more violent with everyone, should i practice tough love and kick him out to flounder, poss find his own way ,or does that make me a bad mom? be honest please, i feel guilty enough, so if you feel the need to chastise me feel free!♥
now, my Q’s about bi-polar disorder…..if anyone who can help me figure out if all this past year has possibly set me on an emotional Rollmaster, or could i have something else wrong, any and all help is appreciated, then i could be able to further explain and understand for myself as well as for a future doctor for clarification!

thank you everyone, i spoke w/my doctor she assures me that with all the stress, and all the added stress that i am just experiecing normal highs and lows, she suggested talking w/a theripist, however she knows me quite well, and said she didn’t think i needed it, she gave me vitamins, a pep talk, and told me maybe it was time for hormone replacement teraphy or natural therapy, pending blood tests!

I don’t know if any one else has noticed but the legit questions never get answered. But if I make up some idiot story about how my son just drank a gallon of rubbing alcohol what should I do the whole freaking world posts.

I’m recently separated from my husband (my choice) and have filed for divorce. We have 2 children together 8 & 6. I feel like he badgers my son (8) about me. Asks him what I’m doing, who I’m talking to etc. I have already talked to me ex about this to no avail. I need to have a conversation with my son but how should I go about it and what to say?? I feel like I’m the bad guy in his eyes right now even though his Dad is an alcoholic loser. (see my previous post) But I never bad mouth about their Dad to them. But I get sick of my ex calling me and telling Tommy told me this or he told me that. So far I haven’t said anything to my son about it. I grew up with divorced parents and they both would pump me for info and I don’t want to be like that. Should I say anything to my son or drop it and let him figure it out….he’s very intelligent!! Can you answer some questions about weight gain or loss on lexapro?

I started lexapro 10mg a couple of days ago and am HORRIFIED at all of the stories I have read from people saying it changed their metabolism and caused them to gain 30-60 lbs.

I need some reassurance. In the past year I have lost 20lbs and there is noooo way I am going to gain it back.

So my questions…
1. Will being careful what I eat and making sure to get some good exercise keep this medicine from making me gain weight?
2. I have read that lexapro has been approved for binge eating…so would it work the opposite way for someone who had that problem before taking the drug? Therefore causing weight loss?

I am taking it for Generalized Anxiety Disorder which I have had for almost 4 years. I took these meds after the birth of my son for a few months 4 years ago but did not note any weight gain as I was still overweight from having a baby.

Thank you for your advice, I am really nervous about this. I don’t see how taking a pill can make you gain weight.

2 child custody questions?

i have a baby with my ex boyfriend. he makes no effort to see him. he will not help me in any way with our son because he wants to be together and i don’t want to be with him. we was abusive towards me.

well, i was told by my insurance company that if i don’t go for child support my son’s insurance will be canceled. today i just got a letter with a court date and my baby’s father texted me and said that he is going to try for full custody.

he thinks because im diagnosed bi polar and not taking medication, live with my dad, and only work part time that he is going to get custody. but i take great care of my son and i just started this job. no one starts full time. i also have a car. and i pay rent to my father.

well, he works full time and has custody of his almost 6 year old daughter. but, her mother smokes crack so that is the reason for that. i don’t use drugs. he also smokes weed around his daughter, she isn’t up to date on her shots, she isn’t in school, she looks malnourished, and has no health insurance. he is an alcoholic and just puts his daughter in front of the tv all day everyday. the only good things he can say about himself is that he has a car, rents his own house and works full time.

do you think he has a shot of getting my son? i don’t think he does but i cant help but worry. i just want some opinions.

and my second question is, when determining custody, do they investigate how his daughter is treated and her living environment? i think about this little girl everyday and i would like to see her removed from his care. she would be better off without him.
i am telling the complete truth. i havent called CPS because he threatened to kill me if i did because i am the only one that really knows whats going on.

The babys father and i have been dating off and on for almost 2 years. He has cheated on me numerous times.. i cant even count on both hands and those are just the ones i know about not to mention the lying, verbal and emotional abuse, and even a few physical encounters that i will admit i started. Since ive been pregnant he has started using cocaine heavly and recently got off probation and has started smoking weed again. He has a house full of people and all but his grandma and his younger siblings are using some sort of drug. His mom lives there and is so into tweak its not even funny. I dont want him to have custody of my child because his house is disgusting there is really trash everywhere and the dog goes to the bathroom in the house not all of it gets cleaned.. there is plenty of violence drug use profanity and abuse of every kind in this home and i dont want my son raised in a mess that way. how can i prove to the courts that he is an unfit father and should not have custody?
Also he has warned me that if i try to take his son from him he will fight dirty and he can guarentee that he will drop clean.. so if he already plans on quitting for an extended period of time so that he will drop clean for the courts how can i catch him unprepared? i have also used cocaine 2-3 times during my pregnancy. i know there is no good excuse for it but i felt that he would like me or want to be around me more if i did. believe me i regret it everyday but im afraid he will use that against me. i want his name on the birth certifcate becuz im only 17 and i will need his help finacially. again please help if you can its very important to me. thanks ASHLEY

Child Custody Battle Questions?

My husband and I have been married for 5 months now, and he has a 2 year old son with his past “hook up”. There was a brief “relationship” for about a month or two simply because he found out she was pregnant. The father could have been him or 2 other guys (shows you how contained she is)…. Blood tests showed that my husband is in fact the father. We have had him since he was about 6 weeks old every weekend. We have custody papers stating that she has full physical custody, but we share joint custody. Since he was born, she has moved 9 times, a couple of times she never told us her new address (which is contempt of court according to the papers). While she was pregnant, she told my husband that she would never quit smoking weed. She just moved an hour further away with her on again off again boyfriend who is clearly on drugs (nasty teeth, myspace reference to drugs and so on) We even found a nude picture of our son on her public myspace page! We printed it and went to the police station. There was to be more investigation, and we notified DHS, who then went to her house and TOLD her that we were having her myspace investigated, so she should make it public. Her status, which I can still see, changed to “NAME thinks little girls should keep their noses in their big fat boyfriends butt cracks”. We still believe that she and her boyfriend are on drugs, but do not know if we can demand a drug test on her. Our current lawyer has been no help, as his wife is fighting cancer, and he is trying all he can to stay out of court.
His mother never calls when we have him for any amount of time to check on him, and if she does call, it is always about money. She does not have a highschool education, and has even attempted to take the GED exam 2 times and still has not passed. She has no steady employment, even when she worked at her father’s store. She has threatened us and shown her ugly side several times (which we have documented) She has been late for pick ups and drop offs several times also, and has even forgotten what day it was when we called. He usually has a full diaper, and is filthy like he hasnt taken a bath when we pick him up. We also noticed lots of plaque on his teeth when we pick him up. He has gotten sick with her several times, and it has been severe a couple times, and she says shes taken him to the doctor, but has no documentation… How does a doctor miss pneumonia and say that the child is “fine”??? Anways, please give me some advice or some support as of what to do!?!
I forgot to also add that we are to split medical bills 50/50, and she owes us over $1,000 so far. She says she will pay but never does.
She has also lost custody of her older daughter to her parents for being unfit. Shouldnt that be held against her?

My son is in a drug rehab. I have some questions, please.?

My son is in a Drug and Alcohol Rehab and has been for 3 months. To work the program, he is looking at 18 months to complete it. So far he is doing good, but often gets depressed. He was addicted to Crack. Crystal Meth and Alcohol. I am not at all familiar with the drugs. If he completes the 18 months, what is the likelihood that he will go back on drugs and what are the long term side effects on his mind and body? He was using for 8 years. And I haven’t seen him in 8 years because of this. We talk on the phone and I send him what he needs until he is own his own. Can someone enlighten me on the chance of getting my ole son back to normal? Thanks so much!
I forgot to mention that my son is 32.
Where my son is, they will not give him any medications. They do not believe in it.
