How Do I Get My Son Off Drugs?

My 16 year old son asked to go on a “sleep over” at a friend’s home. Turns out many of his friends were there to drink alcohol and smoke pot, which I am certain my son also does. The party got loud. My son left just before the police arrived. The police mostly notified parents to pick up their kids. But they arrested one underage teen for possession of marijuana and the 19 year old daughter of the family who lives there on the charge of “making real property available for minors to consume alcohol.” The parents were not home that night.

I feel some shared responsibility for the daughter’s arrest. I would like to teach my son to feel the same. (If nobody came to this party, there wouldnt have been a problem.) I just dont seem to have the imagination to think of something we can do to show my son’s responsibility for his part in this incident. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

I have a son, whose father is legallay allowed to have our son for 2 weeks visitation. I am afraid after a drunken phone call last night that his father, who has a court order against him that says he is not allowed to drink while our child is in his custody, may try to pick up our child from the airport while intoxicated (similar things happened over a decade ago). Now, I have told my son, under no circumstances is he to get into a car if his father smells like alcohol. Will the law enforcement community help my son if he calls from an airport phone? What can he do, being a minor, to keep his father from making him and his little sister get into the car? If my son has the court order in his hand, and calls the police, are they going to help him? Or does he actually have to commit the driving crime (dui/dwi) and endanger our child before they can help? I have to allow this visitation, per court order. My son says he will do this, but I shouldn’t have to ask. So what do I do?

Imagine you were patroling an area, and you come upon a car that is swerving alot. You pull the car over and are suprised to see your son or daughter driving some vehicle, and in the back is enough cocaine to get twenty or more years in jail, what do you do? Do you turn your son or daughter in to the criminal justice system, or do you try and find another soultion to either cover up the incident, or make less of a charge?

There is this girl…we will call her Dope. Dope likes to shoot heroine, and is wealthy from family money. Dope likes to buy excessive amounts of drugs and do them because shes a miserable human being and likes to take people down with her. Actually, she is only satisfied with her own drug use when she is specifically messing other people up. Namely my 17 year old cousin, who has had other drug problems….she lived with me for a 9 month stretch of time when she was pregnant where I successfully got her off the drugs and then Dope comes storming in our lives seducing my very nieve and impressionable cousin back to bigger and badder drugs than she ever used before.

Now my cousin is a new mother AND heroine addict.
Dope also somehow managed to drag my friend along on her drug binges.
And most recently convinced a very pathetic 18 year old boy to sign himself out of rehab last night (after she is the reason his parents forced him in there in the first place) She picked him up from the hospital, his parents are freaking out and had no idea where he was, and as I am standing there talking to his parents (ironically my cousin standing next to me) Dope calls them on the phone stating “I have your son, hes safe, Im going to take care of him tonight and bring him back to rehab tomorrow…No he doesn’t want me to tell you where he is…no, of coarse I don’t have any drugs and I wouldn’t him that stufff” and then as soon as she hung up, texted my cousin saying “We just picked up some good sh*t do you want me to pick you up.”

Then the boys mother looks at us and asks if we think Dope is telling her the truth about taking care of her son and even my cousin who uses herself and tries to hide any affiliation with Dope says “No, don’t trust her, shes going to shoot him up.” (because these young kids don’t know how to shoot up themselves she actually administers the drugs into their systems and doesn’t show them how to do it so they need to find her when they want some)

I don’t know what to do to stop her.
The police keep arresting her and she gets out on bail and does it all over again finding more and more victims who are mark as kids because of their ages.
I don’t know what do to with this situation, every impressionable person and usually kids who have undergone extreme psycological trama in their lives become victim to her telling them that they will never feel anything bad on heroine.

how do I do this?
i don’t even know why the police let her go, she actually has been caught driving under the influence of heroin and still has her license!
and moving away isn’t an option because a) my cousin no longer resides with me so in theory its pointless and b) we are poor and can’t afford to move

officers showed up at my residence saying that they were responding to a call about some one smoking weed on the front porch (i don’t have a porch)-smile. they said that they were unsure of the address that they were to respond to (lmao) i told them that they had come to the wrong house one of two officers asked me y would he believe me and i said its simple i don’t have a porch he then told me to shut the f_ ck up and called me a smart asss (smile) u know i had to say something (lol) so i asked him who was he to come to my home and talk to me as if i were some child or something (just kidding) i told him that he needed to get the fu_k out of my yard before i call the police (smile) but b4 they left the other cop ( which was a female ) gave me a piece of paper with they’re names (at my request of course) the male cop got mad and said u r going to jail and i said no i’m not i have not done anything to have to go there and not only am i not going to jail i am not even getting into ur car i said u came to the wrong house and u can’t admit it he then instructed me to put my hands on top of the police car ( i thought he was going to search me but he fooled me and forcefully cuffed my left hand at this time i stood there and held my hands above my head and he said put ur hands behind ur back i said in a calm and cool manner officer i am disabled i have a back condition that will not allow me to put my hands behind my back i said i am not disobeying ur orders i simply can not do that without consequence of muscle spasms i said but however if just must take me to jail please allow me to sit in ur patrol car and i will let u cuff me from the front he said no u r going to do it the way i said or i will fuc_in_ take u down ( i said that would b a mistake) as i have just told u that i am disabled and cannot comply with ur orders i then said i am not being agressive but at the same time i cannot let u cuff me in that manner and then the male office kneed me in my knee forcing me to the ground i was kneed several times to my lower mid and upper back and was told by the male office thats all ur kind is good for is to make like yall hirt yall need to leave that crack alone and get a job (my last two jobs were chief of security at a prison and a substance abuse tech) ( my landlord is the investigator for the DA’S office and my nephue is the head of narcodicsthey were both called to the scene when they arrived they asked the officer what was he doing! (at this time i was covered with mud as i was thrown in the ditch) listen at what his answer was ( I THOUGHT HE WAS FAKING ) LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLOL WELL I WAS TEMPORARY ON THE DISABLED LIST BUT MY DOCTOR said that i was doing alot better and that i would soon be able to try and go back to work some where but because the office THOUGHT i was faking i was returned to crutches for another 11 weeks he tore my acl in my knee (when he took me down) all together now i have 4 ruptured disc in my back both knees are messed up i’m over weight and diagnosed with severe depression my wife has tried suicide 2 times already ( did i tell u that she is disabled 2 ) it is going on 4 yrs ago that this happened to me i have no income and my wife gets 854.00 a month our 20 yr old son takes care of us ( he works at americas pizza thats right ) (pizza hut) still trying to get disability but my wife gets 854.00 that exceeds the house hold limit of 700.00 so that disqualifies me from getting any help from the state or the federal gov but back to the story remember i told u that there were two officers there and when i was thrown to the ground and beat up i looked up at the female officer and said from the looks of things u must think what he is doing is wrong because u choose not to help him
but me i am a citizen and i am asking u to help me this is all a mistake i said u have to help one of us and she froze unable to respond i called out to the neighbors and anyone out there in the street to please call me an ambulance as i was in need of medical attention and then i called out to both officers to call for an ambulance i am in need of medical help ( at this time i requested that the officer take his hands off of me as he was not a medic nor was he a dr listen at this if things got that bad for him to throw me down and beat me Y when the ambulance came y y Y did he take the cuffs off of me and send me to the hospital with no police officers ( thats right they took the cuffs off of me and let me go to the hospital with no police escort like nothing ever happened
i tried to file charges with the city police ,city marshals office, sherriffs office, and the state police the state police said that city should take the charges there since thats where it happened city said no not them because they r the investigating source so they could not do it ( what will become of me )

I found a straw with white powder in it, in my son’s room. I took it to the police station and they said it tested positive for cocaine. The said it was slight but was positive. My son swears it was lortab. Does anyone know if this can be possible? Can it test positive for cocaine but not really be cocaine?
I put him in rehab the next morning.

The drugs/alcohol are out of control. He drives/drunk or high and avoids getting caught. He dissappears for days. He never pays taxes. He uses the Emergency Room as a doctors office and never pays the bill. He refuses drug treatment voluntarily. I am at the end of my rope. I want to see him stopped, but not go to jail. I want to see him court ordered into an inpatient rehab center, where he can get some help. How can I alert the authorities, so they can find him drunk driving or in posession of drugs, and know that the judge will NOT put him in jail, but order mandatory rehab?? I’ll even pay for the rehab if it isn’t too expensive. But, I need the court order to make sure he stays for the entire period. If he doesn’t, then the judge can throw him in jail. Who do I contact at the state, county or township level to ASK for the Rehab sentence ahead of time??

A son was doing crack and there was a warrant out for his arrest. As soon as the mother found out the guy was dealing and smoking crack, she phoned in the warrant to the sheriff’s department to have him picked up. What is your opinion on this?????

letting traffic violations, seat belt, speeding, out of date sticker, etc…all pile up and now he is in a “CORRECTIONAL FACILITY” for 6 months. Okay, first..he is a high school drop-out, he was spoiled rotten as a teen, his first “Job” was working with a guy cutting trees. At the end of the first week he got paid…week 2 he gets a bottle of 120 hydro’s (hydrocodone, I guess) and the guy tells him, “Man you can sell these and make way more than what I was supposed to pay you” (yeah, right!! he was 17 his dad and I had no knowledge until WAY after the fact. So, blah, blah, he gets hooked on pills, stole stuff, pawned stuff whatever it took to get his “fix”. He finally ended up on methadone. This is the stuff they give people to get off some street drug, ie..heroine? So, me and his dad finally figure out all this and end up taking him to a methadone clinic every day for 6 months. They are supposed to dose him down and get him off of it. They gave him more and he ends up worse than when he started!(Yes, daddy and I paid every day to try to help our son get off drugs) We find out that this so-called clinic makes MILLIONS of dollars a year keeping people hooked on methadone. I call whoever I can think of to tell them…news, police, lawyers,,etc.. NOTHING is done. The clinic is still open. Anyway, we refuse to take him anymore, he goes ballistic! screaming,cussing me-his own mother! We kick him out. He is like a little bloodsucker moving from friend to friend until he comes here begs on his knees to let him stay here until he gets off it and will I please help him through withdrawal? Yes, he did it it was awful, gross, disgusting, but we did it. Now he tries to find a job, finds some keeps them a while, starting getting tickets, speeding, then he got his license revoked. Lets the tickets pile up again and ends up in jail again, he knows he can’t live here anymore, he is now 23,no drivers license, homeless, no car, no diploma. Can you imagine what is going through his mind? I know you cops see all kinds of stuff. But what is the answer? He already knows he MESSED up bad! He admits it, We all know this, we know where mistakes were made. Is his life over at 23? He is off drugs because he says he can’t get pills in jail. But, when he gets out what is he supposed to do? Police officers, law enforcement agencies, judges, lawyers…anybody…especially police I know you see pitiful stuff all the time, He knows where he made his mistakes and wishes to God that he could start over….can he? please give me suggestions, comfort, prayers anything but smart-eleck remarks. I really don’t need that I need help, he needs help he knows that. Please please put yourself in his shoes and give me suggestions, nice ones, (even if YOU would never do anything like that) Officers I know things like this go through your mind, suggestions, encouragement….anything?

could a REAL police officer with a heart answer my question, I don’t need preaching. He is going to come out of jail with no where to go, no food to eat,no way to get to the GED school. He IS paying for his actions by being in jail. , how does a homeless person become a responsible citizen? He is sorry, he is ready to start fresh he has realized the error of his ways. I am talking the DAY he gets out…how does he start?
