My son doesn’t want to stop his intake of alcohol. It’s getting really out of hand. I would like to get the help of an intervention specialist so that I may be able to do an intervention for my son. It might work wonders.

Here is the situation…I have some strong suspicions that my husband’s ex is abusing drugs (specifically Cocaine). My step-son found cocaine in her room with a straw and a razor blade. He took a picture of the drugs which I have. Numerous people have also told us she is on drugs. My step-son was extremely upset and asked how we could prove she was on drugs, I told him to get hair from her hairbrush and I sent it away to be tested. It that illegal? Admissable in Court? Will the courts order her to have a hair follicle test done? The kids have been extremely mentally abused by their mother’s sister over the whole situation….What do we do?

We’re running on a tight budget, being that I don’t earn a lot and my husband got ill and we need to spend for his medication and other things. Now our son has a problem with his alcohol intake. I have always held on to my principle not to have any vices. I stayed away from my friends when I learned that they were doing drugs. I did not hang out at bars or any alcoholics. I held on to my principle. That is, until a few months ago. A few months ago when my son died and I could no longer handle the pain. That’s when I started drinking like alcohol was water and I’d be dead without it. I want to get myself treated now, but how? Please help.

I don’t live there but my sister is asking for my help regarding finding a drug rehab for her son. She has just recently found out that her son is taking heroin, and this really shook her up. I have to admit that I’m affected as well. My nephew is a straight A student, the kind of kid who has always been such a good boy. It was just really surprising for me to know this. This must be really tough on my sister, and that’s why I want to do whatever I can to help her. Any suggestions?
