We’re running on a tight budget, being that I don’t earn a lot and my husband got ill and we need to spend for his medication and other things. Now our son has a problem with his alcohol intake. We really need to get him treated as soon as possible, but our financial state prevents us from doing so. What can we do?

I do know about AA, but I still want to put my son in an alcohol rehab because a doctor has told me that that would increase his chances of getting better sooner and it will also decrease the likelihood of relapse. We don’t have enough money for this, though. Any suggestions?

I do know about N.A. but the thing is, I’ve already consulted a friend of mine who happens to be a doctor and he specifically said that N.A. should only be complementary to the drug treatment program. We’re really strapped for cash. My husband got fired from his job because they discovered that he’s using heroin. My income alone will not be enough to get him into a drug rehab. One of my three sons is already working, but he’s already got his own family to feed so I really can’t ask for too much.
