My sons father is a criminal, addicted to meth, and assaulted me in my home while I had the baby in my arms. I called the police they took him to jail for warrants out of another county. I didnt pursue the charges but did file a report…I know I was an idiot, but was just happy that he would be in jail for what I thought was a couple of years. Boy was I wrong, he only served 3 months in jail, he is due out next week. My son and I moved after the assault….will I be in trouble for moving? He doesnt know our address and frankly, Im worried if he knows where I am living he will come back and this time things will be worse. We have a case with the TX attorney General, he is 15 grand behind on child support, the papers state I have to give him my address and contact number for the baby…..What do I do? Attorney I spoke to is wanting a 3500.00 retainer fee, legal aid wont help because they claim I am above the income level….Im freaking out here! It’s too late to pick the assalt charge up….I’ve already checked….

I live with my current husband, and we have a stable lifestyle. My son is currently on a joint custody arrangement. His real dad was arrested about 3 weeks ago on DUI w/child endangerment (my son was in the car, he is 4 years old), and other charges such as driving on a suspended license, probation violations related to a 2005 domestic violence charge against me, for which he never completed classes, etc………. I want to petition the court to grant me full custody, but I don’t know WHICH forms to fill out (any help for CA?) and also, what to say to my son?
I tried to tell him that daddy was “sick” and was getting some help (he is a 25+ year cocaine addict much more than alcohol) and my son asked “Is my daddy going to die?” and then every time he sees a cop now he asks “Are the police protecting my daddy?” as he knows they are there to “Protect the city”…………… my ex goes to court 11/20, but this is NOT his first stint, this is like his 3rd DUI (but I think only 2nd in 10 years so the other may have fallen off), and he has had a suspended license forever…………….
I am at the point where I want to get sole custody at LEAST, if not have him adopted by my current husband, but part of me wants to give his real dad one more chance. I’m just not sure how to explain to my son what it is that is going on and why daddy is not around………….
My 27 yr.old son has been struggling w/drugs & alcohol for 8 years. He had a great job & was very responsible up until last year when he walked away from his job; sold everything,and ended up in jail where later the Judge ordered him into a Rehab. Facility – which he has been to several with no success. He has been living with me now for 2 weeks & no attempts to get a job. I’m disabled on a fixed budget yet he needs to be driven to many places to keep him from violating his probation. I’m nervous around him & he has changed. Yet he has had no urge to do drugs. He say’s he is full of fear. He has no place else to go & if I do ask him to leave he will inevitably end up back in jail or doing drugs again. I’m torn. I seem to worry more than he does about food & having money for gas. I know what he is capable of doing when it comes to work ethics; people love him. Should I be silent & let him work his demons out or stay on his butt to go get a job & get his own place?

Today she was screaming at him, got in his face, tried to hit him and he held her back. She slammed her self on the wall to make bruises and say that HE was the one who hit her. My friend took his cell phone and hit record as she was screaming at him and while it was recording she said “I’m going to kill you, hide your body in the woods, and turn you in as a missing person.” Later tonight my friend went to church and let his youth pastor listen to this and he called the cops on her. She got arrested. Considering this situation, how long should she be in jail?

My boyfriend for the last 2 years went to jail the other day for meth. Well it was for not seeing his pot for a Heroin Charge. He has been addicted to Heroin for 3 years. In and out for treatment I would say like 5 times and this is only his 2nd time in jail. He is looking at 80 days to 8 months.I Am Now Pregnant with his kid he has one son who is 3 his ex died in a car crash so now we are both careing for him and I’m not sure what to tell our 3year old. he is very close to him and wondering where he is. What should I tell Him???

He has major problems with crack cocaine and keeps stealing from us. We kick him out and lock him out but he breaks in and steals from us while we are sleeping. He has a long list of offenses and has been in and out of Harris county(texas) jail and Texas Dept. of Corrections. He is ruining my life and I am 80 yrs old and can’t handle it anymore. If i had a legal way to ban him from my home I would do it. HELP
ok my son father is in jail for transporting cocaine 64 kilos exact do you think the police took some of the coke he was arrested in texas he been in there for bout a year now he just got his sentence which is 54 mouths does that year he was already in count?
How long can you be held in a state of Wa jail for out of states warrants. My brothers wife’s brother was just released from 30 days in jail waiting to be extradited. Apparently the two states that had the warrants on him…Indiana and Nevada both decided not to extradite him. So he was released after the 30 days. Now he is saying that he is going to sue the state of Wa? Can he do that? This guy is a drug addict and a thief, I can’t stand him. He stole every expensive toy my nephew had and traded it for drugs. I was so relieved when he was locked up. But now he is saying he is going to get all this money when he sues and my sister in law believes him. He is just trying to get her to let him stay at their house and she is a money hungry B**** so she thinks she is going to get something out of this. I am worried about my nephew, because this guy has done bad things and has had bad people show up at my sister in laws house to strong arm them to get their money back from her brother who ripped them off. I can’t take it anymore, this guy is trouble and belongs in jail, and my sister in law is crazy to believe him. My brother has left her because of all of this.
So, can he sue the state of washington?
Oh, he is back on the drugs, that was the first thing he did when he was released. But he has no charges here in WA….yet………at one time he posted an ad on craigslist selling a laptop computer, and he was going to rob the people when they showed up…….of course, I found the ad and reported it to craigslist. My sister in law was the one who told me he was doing this and when I told her that was messed up, she acutally told me that she didn’t care as long as it wasn’t her………he stole her son’s 360 and her home computer a week later….she is nuts
He graduated high school with a computer tech I certificate. I sent him to live with his Father, but Dad is in and out of town on work alot. SOn is partying then and inviting up buddies last wk while dad out of town
The drugs/alcohol are out of control. He drives/drunk or high and avoids getting caught. He dissappears for days. He never pays taxes. He uses the Emergency Room as a doctors office and never pays the bill. He refuses drug treatment voluntarily. I am at the end of my rope. I want to see him stopped, but not go to jail. I want to see him court ordered into an inpatient rehab center, where he can get some help. How can I alert the authorities, so they can find him drunk driving or in posession of drugs, and know that the judge will NOT put him in jail, but order mandatory rehab?? I’ll even pay for the rehab if it isn’t too expensive. But, I need the court order to make sure he stays for the entire period. If he doesn’t, then the judge can throw him in jail. Who do I contact at the state, county or township level to ASK for the Rehab sentence ahead of time??
My son is 25 y/o.
letting traffic violations, seat belt, speeding, out of date sticker, etc…all pile up and now he is in a “CORRECTIONAL FACILITY” for 6 months. Okay, first..he is a high school drop-out, he was spoiled rotten as a teen, his first “Job” was working with a guy cutting trees. At the end of the first week he got paid…week 2 he gets a bottle of 120 hydro’s (hydrocodone, I guess) and the guy tells him, “Man you can sell these and make way more than what I was supposed to pay you” (yeah, right!! he was 17 his dad and I had no knowledge until WAY after the fact. So, blah, blah, he gets hooked on pills, stole stuff, pawned stuff whatever it took to get his “fix”. He finally ended up on methadone. This is the stuff they give people to get off some street drug, ie..heroine? So, me and his dad finally figure out all this and end up taking him to a methadone clinic every day for 6 months. They are supposed to dose him down and get him off of it. They gave him more and he ends up worse than when he started!(Yes, daddy and I paid every day to try to help our son get off drugs) We find out that this so-called clinic makes MILLIONS of dollars a year keeping people hooked on methadone. I call whoever I can think of to tell them…news, police, lawyers,,etc.. NOTHING is done. The clinic is still open. Anyway, we refuse to take him anymore, he goes ballistic! screaming,cussing me-his own mother! We kick him out. He is like a little bloodsucker moving from friend to friend until he comes here begs on his knees to let him stay here until he gets off it and will I please help him through withdrawal? Yes, he did it it was awful, gross, disgusting, but we did it. Now he tries to find a job, finds some keeps them a while, starting getting tickets, speeding, then he got his license revoked. Lets the tickets pile up again and ends up in jail again, he knows he can’t live here anymore, he is now 23,no drivers license, homeless, no car, no diploma. Can you imagine what is going through his mind? I know you cops see all kinds of stuff. But what is the answer? He already knows he MESSED up bad! He admits it, We all know this, we know where mistakes were made. Is his life over at 23? He is off drugs because he says he can’t get pills in jail. But, when he gets out what is he supposed to do? Police officers, law enforcement agencies, judges, lawyers…anybody…especially police I know you see pitiful stuff all the time, He knows where he made his mistakes and wishes to God that he could start over….can he? please give me suggestions, comfort, prayers anything but smart-eleck remarks. I really don’t need that I need help, he needs help he knows that. Please please put yourself in his shoes and give me suggestions, nice ones, (even if YOU would never do anything like that) Officers I know things like this go through your mind, suggestions, encouragement….anything?

could a REAL police officer with a heart answer my question, I don’t need preaching. He is going to come out of jail with no where to go, no food to eat,no way to get to the GED school. He IS paying for his actions by being in jail. , how does a homeless person become a responsible citizen? He is sorry, he is ready to start fresh he has realized the error of his ways. I am talking the DAY he gets out…how does he start?
