My ex recently came back in the picture claiming that he dropped out of my sons life 6 months ago because he went down the wrong road and started hanging around bad people and started using meth. He said “it’s not like I’m addicted or anything. I quit a week ago. I just used it to help me deal with the feelings I was having about my life sucking so bad.”
Would you buy it? Believe him?
I have 4 Sisters and I’m the only son and live nearly 300 miles from my Mother. She is 77 and befriends troubled people and drug addicts. Some have even taught her how to shoot her pain medications like Heroine into her veins. Now she is selling her (Dilaudid, Xanax and Morphine Patches) meds and I’m worried she may eventually get assaulted, robbed or even murdered.
I’ve confronted her before about her drug use that is supposed to be for pain, but, she is hard-headed and very difficult. I am a Disabled Veteran with a bad heart and M.S., and a Spinal Cord injury, and it causes me a lot of stress over this, but, I’m not sure what to do.
I know my Mother could be busted by the Law, and she could even be committed under an intervention, but, then she plays the Suicide Card. I feel trapped and damned if I do something and damned if I don’t.
I could really use and appreciate some thoughtful feedback on this! Has anyone out there been in this position before? HELP!
my grandchildren have lived with me since they were born along with my daughter. her husband has been in and out of this home because of crack cocaine abuse. I kicked him out 3 weeks ago and he took my grandchildren and my daughter with him he is facing a charge of stealing someones checks and forging them to the tune of $9,000.00!and the kids want to come home. where do I turn to for help!
Does anyone know what to look for in an overdose situation, I have tried everything to get him to quit, but he wont, he has violent outbursts when hes ON them, and sick when hes OFF them. Im attemptin to put him in a Treatment facility soon, but in the mean time, he continues to abuse Oxycontin and Hydrocodone or Roxy 80″s. he sniffs them and drinks with them. I dont know how to stop him. I have moved h im back into my home with his baby, but he is so out of control and has NO respect for no one in our home. Last nite my other son came and told me to check on his brother as he was afraid he had overdosed, he was all lethargic….and just acting drunk. My son has a tendency to be very dramatic, and cry wolf alot (the one on drugs). So I really want to know what to watch for in case he does overdose. … someone please help…I love my son, and its killing me ,not knowing how to help him.
He initially showed signs of person on drugs. We sat him down and spoke to him about the consiquencies of drugs. He tried to stop but has started again. This means that he is hooked to the thing. Please he is my only son advice me. Thank you.
I have just found out my son-in-law is hooked on Vicoden pain pills and has also started smoking meth. I don’t know what the symptoms are or what to do to get him straight.
Any advice or answers please?
