How Do I Get My Son Off Drugs?

i really appreciate your help with my sons girlfriend on your previous post, i was really frantic and wooried at that time, thats why i sent so many posts.

My sons girlfriend was raped and she stayed at our house, because her mother says it would be better ( SHE WAS RAPED AT HER HOUSE). I thought she would just sleep on the couch, or something. well i went to go check on him and see how he was doing. i found his girlfriend in his be sleeping, and my son was laying next to her drinking a bottle of jack daniels. I also saw his rifle next to the bed. My husband bought a m14 semi for his 16th birthday. when i told my husband about he said dint do anything that might threaten him, because the girl he loves the most in his life was just raped, and he feels it is his job to protect his girlfriend. i mean he would be doing the same thing if i was raped. but they are both only 16, and only been in a relationship for just over 6 years. my husband said the jack daniels is just a coping mechanism, and the rifle probably makes his girlfriend feel safer and well give them a week to get better. My son has defended his girlfriend in a physical fight before.

well i was really frantic when i caught my son girlfriend sleeping together. but i decided that i would let the sleep together on the condition that they leave the door open and where full clothing. they agreed. on the alcohol i took away the jack daniels away, and just gave him a non alcoholic beer. i decided to leave the gun, since he is not stupid and knows how to saftly handle a gun. his girlfriend can stay for one more week, and her mom was ok with since she has recovered a lot since being with my son, so i was ok with it.

but im strarting to have second thoughts, did i make all of the right decisions, please answer

Our 6 year old son has stolen 7 times within the last month from his father, little brother & myself (Mommy)! The first time he got a spanking and we sat down and talked to him and said we’d give him another chance. Second time he got spanked and put in the corner and a talk and something taken away that he likes third time corner and everything taken away. 3rd time and kept stealing we kept all his toys away from him no tv no play time no talking. I don’t know what to do. This last time I was very mad and had to walk down the street so I didn’t knock him out! Besides, this he is a good kid! He’s great in school good listener and also there to help someone out. Recently, he’s been really SNEAKY and LYING all the time about EVERYTHING and STEALING constantly! Also, when i went to talk to him. He told me he doesn’t love me & his father and he steals cause he gets what he wants when he wants it. I even tried counseling but that’s not even working. What do we do cause my husband wants to send our son to boot camp but I don’t know if that’s best. All this started about a month ago. He doesn’t have anyone negative in his life. there are no drugs or alcohol or cussing aloud in this house or around our son. We also keep all grown folk business between my husband and myself. Please someone help my family and I.

Its for my son and I would like to know what I can do to keep his friends interested in the party. Alcohol is not an option. 10PTS for the best suggestions.

I believe my son has schizophrenia, and his symptoms get much much worse when he smokes weed or drinks alcohol, but he refuses to believe us when we tell him this and he refuses to stop and just lies about it. Lately he is getting more and more self destructive and I am very scared he will end up really hurt or worse. I feel so torn but I feel that having him committed is my only avenue as he will not get help on his own and I can not force him as he is 20 years old. Please tell me what I can do!

My son is turning 18 years old. And has planned a party. He has told me that more than likely there will be alcohol that his friends will bring. Will I get in trouble if I allow them to bring it in. I am not buying it for them so does that matter. I want my son to have fun on his Birthday but I do not want to get in trouble if cops show up.

Iam a single mother of 3 boys, the oldest being 20 the youngest 8.. My oldest son hates me because i was with an abusive man (not his father) for most of his life, and now he resents me. I have sinced divorced the guy, but my boy utterly hates my guts, he calls me names like whore…c…t..bitch,,,he uses me for every penny I have, because he has a child and knows i love his baby, so he uses her against me. threatening to take her away if i dont give him what he wants. I have given him so much all his life, i tried to be a good mother to all my boys, but living with an abusive man, it was so hard to make everyone happy. now 21 years later, i feel as if im just going to lose my mind. I have never really had thoughts of suicide, but now…Im seriously thinking about it. The kids would be better off without me. My job sucks. My boyfriend now, whom i love very much, is an alcoholic and is constantly flirting with FAT WOMEN. because thats his type. I mean before me, thats all he dated. So now im insecure about that. He is a good looking thin man. I feel so ugly. Even though Im NOT ugly, I have guys always telling me how beautiful I am, but I dont feel beautiful. I hate my life. I hate myself…Will I go to hell if I commit suicide??? I want to make sure, because I want to see my mom again and shes in heaven…I dont have anyone else to ask, so I thought i would ask you guys.. My son has been having illegal sex ever since he got fired from work. I was at his apartment and found condoms, ecstasy and alcohol chocolate. I’m very concerned that my son will get himself in trouble with the law because police may walk in door and watch him having illegal sex and eating alcohol chocolate. What can I do? I don’t want his life to be thrown away but such things.

I have the occassional drink and won’t give up totally until I know I’m pregnant. I was told when I carried my second child that the odd drink was o.k. I drank Kahlua and milk and my doctor said this was o.k. My son is fine and thriving. He is nearly 10.

I’m 20 and I live with my parents and boyfriend. We hit a hard spot and couldn’t get our apartment, so when we found out I was pregnant we decided to wait until we had a nest egg of sorts.

My parents smoke, but they don’t smoke in the common rooms or the room the baby will be living in (my son is in the NICU for another week). They stay outside, or in their personal bedrooms with the doors closed, windows cracked. My pets are trained and are cleaned up after religiously. There is only one cat with access to the room the baby will be in, and that room is vacuumed daily. The house is cleaned daily, the cages are cleaned on a schedule, and most of the animals are caged anyway. Large dogs stay outside, and only the one cat has access to the baby’s area, though he’s trained not to climb into, on, or around the crib or any furniture for that matter.

My boyfriend’s parents have threatened to call CPS if I don’t move into their house with my son. They dislike me as is, and already make me miserable. I don’t want to live with them, and when they threatened to take my son, I knew that bridges were burned.

I don’t want to lose my son, and I don’t want to stress through a major move. I’m still recovering from preeclampsia, a c-section, and pneumonia. The last thing I want is to fight.

My brother is a drug addict so his wife divorced him and took her newborn son with her. My brother signed over his rights and she had someone else adopt him, and in the process cut the rest of my family including me out. I was really close with her, but even closer with my nephew. I really bonded with him, since I was her labor coach, one of the first one’s to hold the baby, and she lived with me with her son for 2 weeks after he got out of NICU. Anyways watching the birth, going through all that, I just got so attached to him, plus I had a miscarriage the day before he was born, and I was numb to it for a few days I think because I tried to focus on him, but now I am grieving two losses. I am starting fertility treatments soon, not because of my nephew I have always wanted a family, but secretly I’m hoping it will help me to eventually…get busy with my own child and kind of forget about the pain of losing my nephew a little. Do you think it will help?

There is this girl named britney in my town she’s 17 years old and has a 1 year old son. britney and her family have a bad reputation Basically they are well known for causing problems. britney’s mother is a alcoholic who doesn’t have a problem watching her grandson while under the influence. britney’s father committed suicide when she was young sadly although who could blame him, after all that family is trouble. her two brothers are in and out of jail… anyway recently Child Protective Services took her son in their custody because she was snorting prescription pills, smoking crack, and possibly shooting heroin, her son tested positive for drugs.. and because the family is unstable the boy will probably go to a adoption agencie since britney doesn’t know who fathered her son. will she get into trouble for having drugs in her son’s system?
will the mother be sent to juvenile intill she’s 21?
The mother neglects her child by not watching him properly. she takes him out without dressing him warmly Not putting a jacket on him, or hat and gloves. she takes her son out for a walk 2:00 in the morning and later then that strolling him arould when she has no business being out in the first place. she starts fights with people and becomes very violent in front of her son, (she’ll fight another person with her son there)
Because we live in a small town basically everyone is in everybody else’s business therefore rumors are spreading about her alot. of course Child Protective Services did take her child but people are talking about why they took him from her. she deserved it she shouldn’t have children when she can’t even take care of herseif, britney will probably grow up and be just like her mother a alcoholic with four more misfits as children just like her siblings.

technical legal issue? In other words, he definately had the drugs in his car and they were his but because of a screw up in the legal system he was found not guilty. I wouldn’t be happy but i have seen some families that are-like he never really did it!!

My sister is addicted to drugs and I have tried almost everything to help her but I am continuing to fail her. I haven’t tried the tough love approach because I am afraid that she will not want to have anything to do with me anymore and will not allow me to see my 4 year old nephew who I adore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He has a court date next month,he posted $1,000.00 for his bail bond. So will he have to serve time?He said the amount he had was real small,what will he be charged for?
