How Do I Get My Son Off Drugs?

Ok. so. here’s the problem.
My son Michael has a girlfriend named Molly, who I really like.
They’ve been dating for three years now and he was talking to his sister Pheobe about how much he loves Molly and might marry her.

Yesterday I night, I came into my son’s room to bring him his laundry and he was making out with another girl on his futon! Idon’t know what to do. I’ve known Molly for years and don’t want to see her hurt, but I also don’t want to let my son cheat on her. Also, I think Pheobe knew he was kissing other girls- maybe doing more- and I’m worried about the example he’s setting.

He says they were drinking but I know what alcohol smells and I didn’t find any bottles. They were not drinking

I thought she would just sleep on the couch, or something. well i went to go check on him and see how he was doing. i found his girlfriend in his be sleeping, and my son was laying next to her drinking a bottle of jack daniels. I also saw his rifle next to the bed. My husband bought a m14 semi for his 16th birthday. when i told my husband about he said dint do anything that might threaten him, because the girl he loves the most in his life was just raped, and he feels it is his job to protect his girlfriend. i mean he would be doing the same thing if i was raped. but they are both only 16, and only been in a relationship for just over 6 years. my husband said the jack daniels is just a coping mechanism, and the rifle probably makes his girlfriend feel safer and well give them a week to get better. My son has defended his girlfriend in a physical fight before.

well i was really frantic when i caught my son girlfriend sleeping together. but i decided that i would let the sleep together on the condition that they leave the door open and where full clothing. they agreed. on the alcohol i took away the jack daniels away, and just gave him a non alcoholic beer. i decided to leave the gun, since he is not stupid and knows how to saftly handle a gun. his girlfriend can stay for one more week, and her mom was ok with since she has recovered a lot since being with my son, so i was ok with it.

Since before the baby and for the 14 months, I have been helping a lot….. I am the mother of the son…. She is a server, and 35, her ex boyfriend according to my son, broke up with her because of heavy drugs? My son told me this before he got together with her.. (Perhaps a year after she broke up with ex) A friend of hers told me she had been a heavy drug user when they lived together.. The question: I have been baby sitting while she went to work, at night, my son is also a server- After she started back to work about 3 months ago, she stayed out and did not come home till 3 in the after noon, I went over, as my son called me. When she comes home from work, she is smelling of alcohol. Then, last week, she did the same thing, but we were meeting at her mothers at 4 for a barbeque, and she said in front of her mother she had only got home at 3 in the after noon, her mother said nothing, so next day, I told her I was not able to stay overnight anymore at her place, as needed my sleep
and that gladly have the baby at my apt, condo, which I own, and have a babys bed , She said no, so it has been a week, she has not called, I told my son , I thought she was an alcoholic, and maybe even abusing drugs. Is once a user, always ,until one gets help, she baths the baby maybe once a week, the baby does not sleep in a crib, but in bed with her, and her clothes are all over the floor, for 6 months, I keep saying to my son, to do something about the mess. What do I do, Do I go to a lawyer, She is also on anti depressants for 10 years, my son is 30, and does not want to talk about it,,,,,
Her mother said nothing about her staying out all night. Also , the ex boy friend is hanging around when my son goes to work. My son is oblivous. He did tell me he pays all the bills, and she spends her money on her self. Does this sound like she set up my son to have a baby at 34(my son is 30) and he will be paying child support while she parties with her ex… should I or he see a lawyer, Do you see any concern? Drugs Her older sister just went to a rehab hospital for a year after spending 40, Thousand of her familys money, the sister is 40, HEr sister was using hard drugs, and has 2 boys 12 and 10,,, help , Am I over reacting? Should I stay out of it, but I have spent a lot of time with my grandaughter , and said to bring her to my condo, she said she does not want her to come to my place…. I have made it very easy for her…. I have done too much…… so now, should I see a lawyer about perhaps what i know,……..

Just wondering. You see my boyfriend left me for a chick that seems to keep him under the influence of something… so everytime I try to call him about our son he is just too beligerant to care. So I was wondering if I could pop them and put an end to all that? Maybe he’d have to take drug/alcohol classes?

My 17 year old son and his girlfriend had been going out for a good 4 years and a month ago she killed herself. My son has been a mess and has been blaming himself for it and he just sobs for hours on end. He is seeing a counselor but he has not been the same since her funeral. I have had to lock all the sharp objects away along with the alcohol in the house away. He was hospitalized about a week and a half after her funeral when i found my son passed out with alcohol poising. The counseling seems to be going ok i guess i am not really sure. I think he is getting better but then again i feel like he is just starting to be able to hide his pain from me and my husband and even his older sister. Which is strange because his sister and him are so very close together and he tells her everything but he wont even talk to her anymore. I want to help him but i feel so helpless. Advice?

My son is 16 years old. He has been dating his current girlfriend/fiance ( I insisted that they marry eachother because of the baby..) for about two years. My son has a violent temper and oftent talks back to me and his teachers, throws stuff when he gets angry, and frequently throws tempur tantrums. When he was younger, we forced him to go to counseling. After he turned 14, he refused to go anymore, and I couldn’t make him. Last year, he dropped out of high school and began doing PCP, which as you know, can make people extremely violent. After I made him go through detox at a rehab center for teens, he promised me that he would stay clean. I don’t think that he’s doing PCP anymore, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was using cocaine or herion or even crack. Anyways, ever since they started dating, she has ALWAYS gotten into some sort of “accident” with a doorknob, or a toaster, or a bookcase. She’s extremly “clumsy”.It seems like she always has hand-shaped bruises on her arm (she tries to wear jackets all the time to cover them, but she always ends up taking the jacket off eventually), and every other week, she has a black eye. She’s had a broken nose about three times this year. Last Christmas, she had three cracked ribs and what looked like bite marks on her shoulders. I didn’t want to ask her about it because I didn’t want to be intrusive or upset her, especially on Jesus’ holiday.
Anyways, last week, she called me from a payphone and said that she was sleeping at homeless center because my son told her to get out of the flat (they have a flat in the city.) and threatened her with a knife. She also confessed to me that he had been violent with her before, but she didn’t give out specifics. I ordered her to get out of that homeless shelter and find another place to stay because it was just plain irresponsible of her to put herself in a situation like that. Crazy people sleep in homeless shelters, especially the youth ones. I’m not sure what to do anymore! As bad as I feel for her, she’s behaving irresponsibly and she’s putting me in an awkward position. Last night, she slept on my front lawn because she had nowhere else to go. I’m just so sick of having to clean up my son’s filthy messes. This morning, I had to cook breakfast for her and buy her prenatal vitamins. I don’t know if I can feel sorry for this woman anymore. Her parents pretty much dumped her on me, and my son won’t take care of her. My son refuses to get a job, but I’m praying every night for him to get a job as a lawyer or a doctor. I just have no idea what to do anymore. How can I getting my son to clean up his act and take care of his messes without me?

I came home early the other day and caught my son giving oral sex to my 14 year old daughter’s friend. She is staying with us for a while, since her mother has been in the hospital from a very bad car accident. Her mother and I are very close, I don’t know wether I should tell her or not. This girl has had some trouble in the past drugs, alcohol, running away etc. I don’t know whether or not they are having sex or not. What should I do?

My brother (18) and his girlfriend (17) are expecting a baby. She told me this morning, and they don’t plan on telling my dad anytime soon! They are both irresponsible and in no way capable of raising a child. Last March she had an abortion, and she plans on keeping this baby. Neither of them have jobs, my brother dropped out of high school during his sophomore year, and he is addicted to Oxycontin. And both of their ideas of fun is getting stoned in the backyard. Her family is absolutely nuts, they are all drug addicts in and out of prison living off of welfare. I don’t like having to keep this a secret, and I very much want to run to my dad and spill everything! (My mother is not in the picture, BTW.) But I know it isn’t my secret to tell, I just wish they did not put me in the middle of this. I too am only 17. What do I do? I don’t want to see my niece/nephew grow up in an unstable enviorment. I watched it happen to my sisters son, who now lives with his other grandparents. Not only that but my brother is also very abusive to his girlfriend. Just last month I had to call the police on him because he wouldn’t get off of her. I am sorry if this seems like a rant, but I am very angry, and disappointed that they would allow this to happen again. My dad is already on his last straw with my brother, and this will surely send him to an early grave. I am scared for the baby. This girl can barely take care of herself, and my brother…his life is just a complete mess. I want to be excited for them, but at the moment I am just worried that despite having a baby on the way, they aren’t going to straighten up.
