She’s had MANY sex partners, including several of his friends. He claims they didn’t have sex, just got each other off…whatever that entails…so could he have some STD that he could pass to our son via sharing the same drink or what not?
Our son is 5 & autistic so telling him to not drink after is dad is something I try to teach him, but doesn’t necessarily get through to him.

BTW, this has NOTHING to do with me still having any sort of feelings for my ex. I left him.

My husband just got laid off from his job, and we have to send our son to an alcohol rehab. My salary alone won’t be enough. I was just wondering if there are other alternatives? My husband is trying to find a new job, of course, but we want to be able to get our son inside rehab the soonest possible time, Any ideas?

A year ago my little brother started acting ‘different’. We couldn’t put our finger on it, but eventually it got worse and worse. I say little, but he’s 30 and was living with his wife and son at the time. I can only imagine how bad it go before she finally kicked him out, but she’s shared episodes of him going through crazy highs and lows. Sleeping for days and then being enraged for hours over something as simple as what type of cereal she bought.

I love my brother, but he’s an idiot. He’s never going to find another girl like her. She’s totally opposite of him, and had no idea what he was doing. Poor thing was going crazy, trying to figure out what was wrong. It wasn’t until months after he had gone that she found out what he had been doing. And that’s only because once he was on his own he went from bad to worse. He stayed away from all of us but we heard stories from friends who were concerned about him. I still can’t believe the stories we heard. I feel for my poor sister-in-law as he got involved with a lot of bad people and we heard stories of lot of women, and much, much worse.

As fast as he started doing drugs, he has now stopped. He’s been clean for three months and although he’s doing better, his behavior is not the same as before he started doing the drug. He has mood swings. Still gets mad. Is very depressed and sad and feels sorry for himself constantly. He also blames everyone else for what he was doing. From his wife, to his family and friends and even his son. His reasoning is that we all knew what he was doing and didn’t try to stop him.

He’s even convinced that his wife someone guided those ‘women’ to him during his ‘downfall’ so that he would fail at being on his own and have to crawl back to her. She has tried to be there as much as she can, and she has forgiven most of his past transgressions. But every time she thinks she might want to work things out with him, he will have another episode and either get so depressed he refuses to talk to her or wants to scream at her over the phone. He’s like that with all of us also. Sometimes he loves his family (mother, father, sister, etc.) and is thankful for us being there for him. Other times he hates us all and brings up incidents that happened when we were children!

I don’t know what to do. Is he ruined forever? Will Crystal Meth affect him forever?

My sister is using meth,she has two children and doesnt take care of them.My parents that care of her daughter and her son stays with his father,they both have different fathers.Anyways My family and I have tryed everything to try and get her help.She never goes through with anything.We tryed putting her in treatment but she just sighs herself out. Anyone know what else we could try.Please help before it’s too late!

I was researching methamphetamines, and did you know the medication doctors prescribe for ADHD is the same thing as crystal meth? I have always been strongly against medicating children for ADHD believing that all children have different degrees of this invisible illness due to their immature brains, and delays in brain development. Now that I am learning a little more about methamphetimines I am even more strongly against medicating children for “ADHD”. The long term effects of meth, and the withdrawal effects are horrible! My son is extremely hyperactive and would most definitely be diagnosed with ADHD if I started complaining to a few doctors about it. How dare they prescribe my son something so dangerous. I need to research more, but I warn anyone in giving their child any type of methamphetamine!

For those of you thinking that it might be FUN, help you control your weight or just make you COOL and fit in, It does all of that I guess.

My son was a recovering addict from when he was 16-18, he lived with his mom and went through rehab several times for both meth and beer. At the age of 35 he HUNG HIMSELF because he could NEVER get rid of the after affects on his brain. He was anti-social, he couldn’t concentrate and was disgnosed as being a schitzophrenic. He couldn’t hold a good job and went from one menial job to another. He was an astronomy WIZARD, but never went to school because he could not deal with the structure. He was CLEAN from crystal for over 20 YEARS and the after affects for two years of FUN and ESCAPE stayed with him for the rest of his short life.
He went from a crystal addiction to a life of looking over his shoulder because the crystal was ALWAYS there and the after affects NEVER left!
BE COOL, BE FUN and be prepared for a life of HELL!

The point that I was trying to make is that crystal is NOT like smoking a REALLY GOOD joint ONCE or even several times. You get stupid, EVERYTHING is FUNNY and you wake up with NO hangover. Crystal is like inviting a nice guy to dinner that will NEVER leave and is abusive. ONE TIME and you are SCREWED.
Isn’t advanced chemistry GRAND? They have found a way to use OTC stuff to create a drug that ruins one’s life after a SINGLE USE. If one has minor issues it magnifies them so that they are no longer controllable; PS, anxiety attacks and the rest. It takes the locked door off of the hinges and everything flies out; HANG IN “Bloodline” and keep the faith; I am SORRY for what you are going through!

My oldest son is almost 20 years old. He is definitly on the wrong road. I believe he is doing crystal meth again after being clean for almost 3 years. When he was 16 he got into and ended up in all kinds of trouble with the law. When I found out what he was doing I turned him in myself and he ended up going to DYS, a juvenile prison for a little over a year. He hated me at first but we worked thru it and for awhile I actually felt like he was greatful that I did it. Now I see him spiraling down the same road. He wont admit it to me..he actually avoids me if at all possible. He doesnt live with me so he feels its none of my buisness. I have cut him off totally financialy. I just dont know what else I can do to help him now or make him see what hes doing to himself. He has a little boy that is almost a year old that he is not allowed to see. Ever since he and his girlfriend broke up and she refuses to let him see the baby things have been awful. This is when the drugs started again. I am willing to do anything and everything in my power and beyond to save my son. I keep hoping and praying for a way to do it without turning him in to cops. When I try to talk to him he either blows it off like im over reacting or gets angry with me and leaves. Has anyone been thru anything similar? Any advice you would like to share?
For the record, I didnt send him anywhere, the judge did and yes while in jail he was in a rehab program. I dont feel I failed him, I feel I saved him. I would rather him in a place getting help then have him runaway and end up killing himself.
