I was driving in my mommy van and my nine year old son asked me this question. I had three answers but want to know what others think
my thoughts were
1. hypocrite
2. enabler
3. someone just doing their job

I personally know someone who is an able bodied woman, unmarried with a 13 year old son and refuses to get a job (or at least to try) and regularly smokes pot (daily…multiple times per day), drinks heavily and smokes cigarettes when she doesn’t have a joint in her hand. Should she (and others like her) be able to spend OUR TAX PAYER MONEY on these items? OR…shouldn’t public assistance recipients be required to take random drug testing before they receive their monthly checks…and if they fail, NO MONEY for that month…
Please answer this question. And if you can,Will you please find some statistics or proof of your answer.
If this is true are they trying to cut down and making laws against smoking?
The reason for this question is my son is going over to China and he is a teenager and I do not want him near any of this kind of stuff. Thanks.
It seems to me that through friends’ experience, marijuana has done much less harm than nicotine and alcohol has on their lives. I don’t smoke marijuana myself…but my belief is that the law shouldn’t get involved in anything that people want to do as long as it doesn’t directly hurt other people…and no parents being sad about their son/daughter smoking pot doesn’t count as being directly hurt.
I had to borrow my son’s Ford Ranger to go to home depot to get some stuff. Well me being nosy and everything i opened up his glove box and found a few porn DVD’s and two packs of Cigarettes and used condoms and a bottle of everclear. i don’t know how he got either considering he is 17 years old and everything. I feel so disappointed in him but at the same time i think his cousin is supplying him with all of this stuff and everything. I get the feeling talking to my son is going to do absolutely no good. I am unsure what to do, Advice?
