Ohio is one of the states that allows underage consumption with the presence of a guardian/parent. I know this is true for the home but am unsure about the public.

Is it allowed for a parent to buy his or her son an alcoholic beverage in PUBLIC? Say at a restaurant or sporting event? As long as that can be proven? Im having trouble finding documentation for that.

I know that sounds stange.. but my nephew who is 3 monthes old is in the custody of his grandma.. ( me and my sister have different dads) my sister is horrible addicted to drugs, and just got sentenced to 5 years in prison.. they gave custody to her grandma.. i know she loves this child and all but she raised my other nephew who is the worst behave child i have ever met.. she is not able to take care of these children properly. shes over 300 pounds and in a wheel chair.. she doesnt have any money.. and the house is infested with so many cats, and 3 huge dogs.. it smells so bad of cat pee in there it makes me sick.. i am in no posistion myself to take care of a child.. im only 19 and struggle everyday to pay my bills.. but why would the state give her custody.. she cant take care of these children… she calls me and asks me to bring diapers because he doesnt have any.. i dont have any money either.. .but i somehow manage to get the money to get the diapers.. and when i get there.. the baby literally has NO diapers left but the one he has on… somone would love to adopt a baby and take care of it.. but I cant just make the state take the baby away… i dont know what to do…

Okay let me try to make this as short as possible but with all the details….
My boyfriend has a criminal record that consists of the following…(*) drug possesion, (*) possesion of a gun, (*) robbery, (*) gta, (*) illegal use of credit cards (information, not the actual cards)….he has been in & out of prison most of his life. The past 3 years he has done good, working a steady job where he makes good money, no drugs or weapons, nothing. He has been reporting to his parole officer, not missing one visit or test (drug) at all. The only thing that has happend was his son’s mother filed a restraining order on him (which ended today) Im thinking she did this cause she knew he was doing good and he did want to be in his childs life~~>she didnt. He wants to fight for visitation rights if anything…but beings how she is still hooked on drugs and always leaving their son with the grandparents…mabey custody of the lil guy. How would we go about starting the procedure? Any help welcome!!
In the year of the restraining order he has stay away from her completly…and as much as it killed him, he only seen his son from a distance. No pictures, no phone records…nothing! She has tried to contact him many, many times with no such luck. He ignored all her calls & letters. The grandparents would always contact him if anything had happend to his son.

He has no problem taking drug test to show he is clean & can verify his employment…etc.

Large Problem broke out at the high school my 14 year old son attends at. Right now I’m a student resource counselor at the same high school my son attends, I help troubled teenagers and many times they come to me if they have any issues/problems at school and/or at home.

Recently at school,a child in the same grade as my son, (he is 15) was caught in posession of an ounce of cocaine, apparently has been selling it since school started to his peers by grams. Since I am a counselor at this school, fortunately I was told everything that happened. According to the information, police asked him several questions about where he got it, how long he was selling it, who he was selling for; and it turns out this boy played dumb the whole time and wouldn’t give any information out, and the police were not able to get anything out of him. After 2 weeks, all charges were dropped and he was released scott free, nothing on his record or anything.. but was expelled from the high school.

Does this seem wrong to you? I live in Canada, so the laws will be a little different here. What is your opinion, I personally thuoght he would have gotten jail time, and would have been charged. Cocaine is a hard drug, and has potential to ruin people’s lives VERY easily..

An ounce of cocaine is well over a 1000 dollars.
