my son was a passenger in a car where the driver was underage(18) (my son is 20) and there was another passenger (21yrs old) and they had been stopped for speeding. The officer asked if there was any alcohol in the vehicle. They responded and told him there was a bottle of rum under the seat. My son was the only one issued a violation for possession of alcohol, and the officer never took the bottle from them. The officer called the next day and asked me whether my son’s age was 20 or 21 because he may have issued the wrong violation if he is under 21. Doesnt that make the document void? Im going down to the police station today because it all seems very fishy. Just wondering if anyone knows the laws about a passenger getting in trouble for alcohol and no one else got in trouble

My sons dad wasnt around for the first 3 years, then around for a year but didnt follow through with visits. Now has disappeared again for a year and is now asking for visitation. He owes me 23,000 in back child support and does drugs and is an alcoholic. I am asking for supervised visitation. But I read that that in general that is for physical abusers. Do you think I have a chance to get this?

In october my fiance’s EX (babymomma) hid her pregnancy had a child Little did we know she was on crystal meth Her son and her both tested positive for crystal. CPS took her son away and gave temp custody to HER mom. since the custody was 50/50 with my fiance and his EX, CPS called him to come get his daughter or she would be in the care fo CPS. He got her and hte court granted temp full custody.in November they went back to court, she was a no show and they granted my fiance full custody. Court said If she completeed 6 months of rehab she can go and see if she can get visitation. Its been 6 months and still not complete. We would let her go to her grandmas house since the Ex was not allowed near the boy. and we trusted the grandmna and took her word. We just found out the Ex moved in witht he mom and they tried hiding it from us and tellin the lil girl to not tell us. well she did. we plan on cutting ties but what are the gmoms rights? also the mom getting visitation or custody?
Mind you we have a 2 bedroom apt VERY nice with just him, myself, my daughter and her. The EX lives in a run down 2 bedroom apt with like seriously 7 people living there. HSe has not completed her treatment… but if she goes to court what are her chances?
i also want to adopt her,, she calls me mommy and im the one that cares for her and lives with. How do i go about in doing that?

You are a plaintiff in the following case:

The police are appealing to a lower court against Nicky Shapiro. Shapiro’s son admitted to a murder that his father committed but due to the charter rights, self incrimination omits this confession. The police followed Shapiro home in suspicion against illegal weapons. When the search was done no weapons were found but 30 kilos of cocaine. Being a plaintiff, what arguments would you bring up?

security deposit back? do we have a case?
ok here is a long story short lived in an apartment building in palmyra pa and my neighbor got busted for a meth lab got bailed out and now living there again so my husband and i and our son decided to cut our lease due to the situation are landlord is refusing to give us are security deposit back for one cuz we cut the lease 2 months early and 2 cuz we did not give him a 30 days notice that we were moving out idk how i am supposed to give him that notice when the situation did not even happen 30 days ago….heres the deal about the landlord he did not bother to call us about the situation we found out cuz the cops were outside and then later that night we saw it on the news when i called the landlord 2 days later he blew it off as if it was no big deal now there is nothing wrong with our apartment no damages we actually painted the entire thing with a fresh coat the same color the landlord had it….now we are told by several ppl we have a case if we took him to court is that true and do we deserve our deposit back? I did not want my 2 year old to be living in apartment building that has a meth lab cooking in it
i spoke to children and youth and they told me that if someone were to report me that i knew about the situation and choose not to move out they could take my son cuz we lived right next door to the lab like we shared a house it was just diveded and the other fact of the matter is that the guys who were involved got bailed out of jail and are living there again and my landlord does not care that they are back living there the cops are keeping a really close eye on the place but the amount of stuff they found in the house was a severe amount and there is also a chance that the state police could that over the apartments

My 10 y/o niece was taken out of school when she was in Kindergarten, then put back into school for one semester when she was in 1st grade. Her 8 y/o brother has only gone to Pre-K for one semester. My sister ‘claims’ to be homeschooling, but there is no evidence and my nephew cannot read or write. These children also appear to be addicted to things like nyquil and benedryl. My sister is addicted to otc drugs and Rx drugs but we cannot prove it. What do I do to help my niece and nephew? I am so upset but do not know what the laws are on abusing the homeschool system or fraudulent homeschooling.

i recently went to court to retain custody of my 2 yr old son, i went in front of the judge submitted a dna test police reports and such his order was mother is to complete 9 months of intensive impatient drug treatment, there was a no contact order issued he also made it pertantly clear that she can only see him at my approval under supervision after she completes 9 months of rehab

we recently moved to dobbs ferry from florida the order was issued in florida is there a law that protects me fro running into future problems seeing as the judges orders clearly state that i am the custodail parent and that she is to have no contact which means no calling me my wife my mother grandparents etc… weather it be her or anyonbe else doing it for her

my 2 year old son is very happy with the only woman he has ever called mommy he is very happy he is taken to the park he is given nothing but unconditional love and this women who the last time saw him in febuary of 09 he cried as soon as i put him in her arms which was @ a halfway house and she still went out and smoked cracked

i dont get it i know i have to tell my son about her and i cannot wait until he is to old but he cant be to youbg either i do want him to know about her i will not ever tell him about the bad things i want him to choose if he wants a relationship with her assuming at that time she has long term sobreity (meaning 2 plus years)

i do not want him to resent me because he one day finda a birth certificate or sees pictures etc… i am just concerned about my son he has a good life and she (his biological) is only that and he will know her by her first name she has other kids whom she has nothing to do with i am just confused as to how to handle this situtation i knopw i am protected by the law i also know when the biological is sober she is not a bad person but i also know she cant tay clean to save her ass longer then a few months and all i want is for her to get well so my son can decide if he wants her in his life once he is old enough meaning somewhere between 5 & 7 yrs of age if i can find a correct way to tell him without tramatizing him because he has a Mommy and doesnt need a person in his life that wnats him to call her mommy yet is only there once every few months for day or so he was a convenience she used to ask me to keep him awake so she could play with him @ 11 pm @ night when he was only a yr old if he wouldnt eat she would force feed him i one time had to take him out of her hands and tell her to get the f**k away from my kid another time i had to pick her sorry azz up off the floor as she was passed out on drugs (many times)n i just dont know what to do i want the best life for my son and if that means she is a part of it somehow some way ok as long as he knows that she is only the biological , not the mommy

my son has so much love given to him by my wife and her sister and brother in law and all her cusins and her parents and ofcourse my mother and grand parents and aunt and uncles and cousins and so on please anyone who has experienced such things pos on this, thanks,

May GOD as you understand him/her/it bless you and your family

A Mother’s Agony
Schizophrenic, drug addict son put her through ‘hell’ for years, then burned down their home

For years Helga Knippelberg’s schizophrenic son demanded that she give him money to feed his drug habit.

She would give him cash or cheques. Often she would borrow money from neighbours. If she refused his request for money, Ronald Knippelberg would regularly threaten to harm her or burn down their large east Vancouver house.

“It’s been horrible. No one can imagine,” Helga Knippelberg, 74, recalled Tuesday. “I’m not even afraid to go to hell because that man has put me through hell.”

Helga Knippelberg, 74, stands Tuesday by what’s left of her home of 51 years after it was burned to the ground Monday night by her son, Ronald, 47.

Font: ****On Monday night, fire destroyed their house at 1091 East 21st Ave. Ronald Knippelberg, 47, was arrested by police after he escaped the three-alarm blaze by jumping out a second-storey window. He has been charged with arson and uttering a threat.

“I’ve lost everything, furniture, everything,” said Helga Knippelberg, standing beside the ruins of her home, where she had lived for 51 years, the day after the fire.

The German immigrant was accompanied by her daughter, Doris Fischer and a grandson, and embraced by neighbours and long-time friends — all of whom had watched with horror and fear for many years as Helga Knippelberg struggled with her son’s mental illness and his insatiable appetite for drugs.

She said her son was diagnosed with schizophrenia at age 17 after being sent to Riverview psychiatric institute by a judge.

He later became hooked on injection drugs while in prison, said his mother. Anger management therapy never worked and he wouldn’t take medication.

She described her son as someone “who hasn’t a friend in the world.”

Doris Fischer said her brother always refused therapy. “He never felt there was anything wrong with him. It was all of us who were the ones who were off.”

The mother hopes that her son finally gets the help that he never received before.

“I am hoping that somebody realizes that he needs help. He still has longer to live than I do.”

Helga Knippelberg said that on the day of the fire, her son had been berating her for not giving him enough money for drugs. She gave him a cheque, but he wanted some more. He needed another hit of whatever drug he was using that day — crack cocaine or heroin.

Her son, like most drug addicts, can’t accept the word “no,” said Helga Knippelberg.

“When they do drugs, they are in a completely different world. It’s unexplainable. Unexplainable.”

He had already spent about $1,400 on drugs since March 7, when he was released from jail, she added, and had gone beyond the money limit she had set for him.

“He was in a very big need of a fix,” said Helga Knippelberg. He demanded that she borrow some money from a neighbour and she refused. She lay down on the chesterfield and he began walking up and down the stairs, appearing more and more hyper.

His behaviour became so worrisome that she decided to phone the police. He had already broken the downstairs phone so she ran across the street and asked a neighbour to call 911 just after midnight.

The police emergency response team appeared and then 38 firemen in 11 trucks.

Const. Tim Fanning said that a police negotiator tried to talk the “very upset, very distraught” suspect into leaving the house. But he had barricaded the door and the police couldn’t enter.
What is the mens reas and actus reas?
