How Do I Get My Son Off Drugs?

basicly my son will soon be turning 17, nearly all of his mates are 17 too, some older than 17, and a few younger. and he wants to have a big birthday celebration with about 40 of his friends. Now I don’t have a problem with that number of people around our house and garden, but i was wondering what would happen if the police we’re called out over a noise complaint or something, and they turn up to find a lot of drunken 17 year olds? Would i be fined or anything because they were at MY house?
Now i will point out to any people un-aware of the laws regarding alcohol in england, that in england the age you can drink and buy alcohol is 18. The law also says that if you are having a meal in a pub/bar you can buy beer/cider/wine at 16, aslong as someone over 18 buys it FOR you, i.e it’s not your money. And the law also says that in the privacy of your own home, a child as young as 5 can be GIVEN any alcoholic beverage they wish by a parent/guardian. (yes, i know that last law is ridiculous, but it’s still the law).
so as my son and most of his friends would be underage by 1 year, would the police mind? or would they turn a blind eye because at least these teenagers arent going around getting drunk on the streets, but are in a safe controlled enviroment?

And a quick note to anyone here who says anything about my ‘bad morals’ or “he shouldn’t drink anyway hes too young”, i wasn’t asking about that, i was wanting to know what what likely happen if the police were called down and saw the party. I think people need to face the fact that teenagers have ALWAYS drank underage and ALWAYS will, so it’s up to us as parents to make sure they know the conesequences of it and the dangers of it. Other than that i don’t mind my son drinking as he is only underage by 1 year…

My counsins father committed suicide 9 years ago. He went down to the basement and blew his brains out. They still live in this house. She sees him all the time. Sees him going up and down the stairs and sees him sitting in the living room. They hear a lot of noises in the basement. Her mother brought in a psychic who said that he did make it over to the other side but he is just coming to visit. My cousin sits alone in the basement with a ouija board trying to talk to him. No we are not alcoholics or drug addicts and this is for real. I heard on Sylvia Brown that sometimes people do not know they are dead and you need to tell them that they are & and to go to the other side. Do you think he is just visiting here or do you think he could be stuck here. He was a wonderful guy but he had a lot of problems. Also, a friend of mine went over there with her 4 year old son and he said “mommy look at that man on the couch”. Many people in the family see him there. Thanks.

during my pregnancy i had a wine every two weeks or so… my best friend is getting married next week and she’s 30 weeks pregnant… she wants to have a wine at the reception but her mother in law is already calling her a bad mother… surely, i believe, one glass of red wine isnt giong to hurt

oh and my son is 4months old and nothing is wrong with him, had no complication during pregnancy or labour and he is developing early….

I started lexapro 10mg a couple of days ago and am HORRIFIED at all of the stories I have read from people saying it changed their metabolism and caused them to gain 30-60 lbs.

I need some reassurance. In the past year I have lost 20lbs and there is noooo way I am going to gain it back.

So my questions…
1. Will being careful what I eat and making sure to get some good exercise keep this medicine from making me gain weight?
2. I have read that lexapro has been approved for binge eating…so would it work the opposite way for someone who had that problem before taking the drug? Therefore causing weight loss?

I am taking it for Generalized Anxiety Disorder which I have had for almost 4 years. I took these meds after the birth of my son for a few months 4 years ago but did not note any weight gain as I was still overweight from having a baby.

Thank you for your advice, I am really nervous about this. I don’t see how taking a pill can make you gain weight.

It all started when I caught my son Spray and his friends who are 17 smoking crystal meth in our wine cellar a few weeks ago. After interrogating my son he told me that he got it from my neighbor Phil. After confronting my neighbor about the situation he told me that he saw the boys buying a medium sized ziploc bag that contained what he said looked like “crack” from a african-american man whose street name is Rolo who lives down the street in a rundown trailer. So I called the local police who said they do thier best to try and get to the bottom of the situation and a few days later they came to my door asking me some questions. I invited the two in and when I did they immediately asked if they could search our house, I obliged. Well when they got to my study they were looking through my desk and found a manilla envelope that was enclosed that I had never seen before. Being curious I asked them if I could open it and explained that I had never seen it before. Upon opening it a baggy dropped out of the envelope that one of the officers immediatly grabbed it and asked me if I knew anything about it. I of course said no and the officer asked me too put my hands behind my back and I asked what I was being arrested for and he said the baggy had cocaine in it and that I was under arrest for the possession for a Schedule 2 narcotic, read me my Miranda rights and led me to his cruiser. after arriving to the jail I was givin my phone call to make bail and I called my son who cussed me out for disturbing his XBOX time and hung up, I had to wait 3 days in a holding cell for my ex-wife to bail me out. Of course I was and still am furious and am tired of being treated this way from my drugabusing son. I know he planted the drugs in my house because of the arguement we had the week before. When I got home he sold my uke, my laptop, all my TV’s and just about everything in my house. I called his cell phone asking him what happend and he laughed and said that I’ll never get it back. I again called the police and they came over and told me they’ll “look into it” and just left. I am sick of this behaviour and would like to disown him and move in with my cousin Kholl who told me I can stay with him until I get back on my feet. My question is how do i go about disowning my deliquent son. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE.

But when the kid is born he has cancer and he died his mom is crushed. But the father has no idea. So the father has been away from the girl who broke his heart and she misses him and is on her knees begging for him because he was everything to her. Well now the main character the father. Is depressd all the time hates his job his new girlfriend is mean and hates him and flirts around. he has no friends. One day he gets in a car wreck and dies. He wakes up in this afterlife and its so dark and he is alone. Well this elleven year old kid comes up to tell them if we travel to the other side we can get your soul back and you can start over. The main character ask the kid why are you here your a kid your happy you should be where its happy. The kid says im not happy i died at age 12 i had bad cancer my father left me and my mom cryed all the time. The main character realizes that thats his son. So towards the end he finds the soul but instead of taking it he gives it to his son. and his son gets to live happy and cancer free. But the main character gos to a afterlife where he can rest in piece. So what do you think? Also the main character gets hooked on drugs. there is no heaven or hell. But once the kid leaves what happends is that the main character just fades away as if he never exhisted. So how about that. According to wisconsin state law as a parent, guardian, or spouse I may purchase alcohol for someone “underage.”

That said, if a bartender refuses to give me a drink knowing that I am going to give it to the underage individual, because I can not show absolute proof that I am a parent, according to state law I may just buy the alcohol and give it to my son,wife,etc.

If someone were to pose as a parent,guardian, spouse, and buy alcohol for the minor and give it to them who would be held responsible if a legal fallout were to occur.

Would the Bartender’s license be at stake in this situation?
or
Would the individual who had illegally given the minor alcohol responsible?
or
Would the Establishment the drink was purchased at be responsible?
This question is a dispute amongst bartenders. It is not to promote consumption for minors. It is however to resolve with the correctness of the law which is at follows for those of you who do not believe wisconsin law it is right here, although it does not cover this question…

March 12th was the 5th Year my dad has been gone.
He passed away because of his 15+ years of drug usage, along with a few other things…

So For this Anniversary, we had a family dinner with all the kids and grand kids, but my sister and her son couldn’t make it..
So After the nice evening My mom and i decided to go out to her house to make sure everything was okay. Where she proceeded to tell us her son, who is 20 is now addicted to drugs and she couldn’t come because he was all F*ucked up and stood her up.

So Long story short we’ve spent the last weak looking for him, he hasn’t come home, we’ve checked all his hangouts and Still can’t seem to catch up with him.. + He is now dating a 33yr old drug addict who is married.

Anyways, he has been my best friend and even though we haven’t always gotten to be together we are tight and i love him very much.. Im so worried.

Any Advice would help on how to find him and help him get back on track, off the streets and off the drugs?!

Or is this out of my hands?

I started doing a colon detox this morning. I drank the drink and took one of the morning pills and was fine all day. I just took the 2nd pill dose and all of a sudden had a hot flash throughout my entire body. I also took 2 tylenol for my headache and a benadryl to help me sleep. My head hurts and I feel tingly all over! I am scared! I’ve just moved to a new state. I’m home alone with my son and I don’t know any of my neighbors! My fiance is out of town! I’ve had anxiety attacks in the past but this feels different. My whole neck and shoulders and down my arms tingle…. what should I do?
Believe me this is the last time I use this stuff. I feel much better now!
