Is there anything I can do for my Aunt that is addicted to prescription drugs?

My aunt is addicted to prescription drugs and has been for a while. She also has an eating disorder. She only drinks water and never eats. She is also addicted to smoking. She takes pain killers and morophene patches constantly. She doesn’t even need them but one doctor she goes to continues to prescribe them. He even knows whats going on. She gets so high on the pain killers sometimes she passes out in bed with a cigerette lit and she has almost burnt herself up multiple times. She gets so bad she can’t walk or talk she is so high on them. She don’t even know where she is and what day it is. I have suggested to my other aunts that we should do something but they say that the only person that can do anything about it is her son and husband (that is is seperated from). Her son is an alcoholic and doesn’t care and her husband would never say anything about what she is doing. I fear I am the only one that can help. Is there anything I can do to help her?

My new in laws are addicted to weed total alcaholics and the grandmother abuses prescription meds and sleeping pills while drinking heavily. I married my wife and have a step son now we decided to pull him away totally and have no contact. My wife is suffering separation Anxiety but my son seems to be doing fne. did we do the right thing? should we continue this separation? and also she and my new son lived with these people for 5 the childs whole life. he is 6 years and autistic

I have no idea, but in infants who were born addicted to meth, did their teeth come in weird, or not in order? My son has beautiful teeth, but they come in top first, and not from front to back. He’s 15 months, with 2 sets of molors, and just the front bottom 2. I’m wondering if this has anything due to being born addicted. Sorry I asked in this section, however, not many meth addicted moms answer in the toddler section.

My aunt has never been straight.But she was usually just drunk alot.Then she started taking painpills constantly.This is when she started to try to abandon her children.But now she is on crack cocaine and now my sister has her son and her daughter is living with one of her friends.The son is 13 and the daughter 16.She is out of her mind.No one knows for sure where she’s been living.I believe she goes from place to place with her bf.Her bf is also a crack addict.My family is affraidand won’t do anything about this because they don’t want to see the children put in foster care.I personally don’t like this woman and I don’t care if she gets in trouble.She has another daughter who is 20 but she is on drugs bad too.What could one do to have her put away.Whether it’s jail or rehab.I don’t care but how do you go about reporting someone like this?Who can you report them too?

Divorce my drug addicted wife or give her another chance? You decide our fate. I will give you a follow up.?

Briefly, my wife of 3yrs. & mother of my 2.5 yr.old, used crack cocaine. several x’s. now she says she has 60+ days clean. she just regained more visiting time for her 8 yr.old son which she lost 5yrs. ago, from prior heroin addiction. She’d been clean about 6yrs. prior. she’s now not allowed to see him by court order. she’s had both kids around drug users & dealers. when i was at work. she’s stole, lied, & cheated. she would’nt even keep a pt. time job, keep house clean & would’nt take very good care of our son. she’s bi-polar,depressed, on med’s for it. slept,smoked cig’s,talked on phone most of the day. i had to put him in daycare. she really did nothing. she’s now in her own apt. w/a female ex-felon (crack)w/a 15yr.drug use habit. I pd. for the first month rent just to get her out of the house. now she’s unable to pay rent. says she attends 2-3 N/A mtg’s. a day. Our son is w/me. she says she made a mistake.& wants to return home. how many chances does she have to get it right? w/me

My ex just came back into the picture after being gone for 6 months. Now he wants to see our son regularly again. He agreed to an hour long visit in a park today with me present. I just stayed in the car and read while he and my 4 year old son played. He admitted to me that he got mixed up with some really bad people and it involved drugs and he feared for his life because things went bad with them and that he was doing meth. He said that he stopped doing it about a week ago and that it’s not something he was addicted to just something he did to not feel depressed.

He hasn’t given me much hassle, any hassle at all, actually about seeing our son with me around. We do not have custody or visitation set up through the courts. Before this we dealt with one another to.

I felt very bad for him today. He seems to be in a very bad place. But he was very happy to see our son and my son was happy to see him. But I do worry about my son’s safety… so I’m thinking if he does want to start seeing him more or without me around that we might have to go through the courts.

What I’m wondering is… Is it believable that someone could be doing meth fairly consistently probably for the past 6 months or longer and then suddenly quit on his own a week ago and stay clean? Or is he probably still using? I hear it’s VERY addictive and hard to kick.

I have been through many detox and substance abuse programs. My father was the southeasts largest supplier of cocaine in the 80`s and 90`s. I had him arrested thinking that if I could take away the ease of access I could take away my addiction. I only made my addiction more expensive as now I have to pay for the cocaine that I use. I have cut way back (from 1/2 ounce daily in 1990 to several grams a year). The problem is when I get started I can`t stop until I have no more money. THis causes a strain on my marriage (to my fourth wife) as I do not come home until I`m broke and hurting.
Please someone give me some advice, if you have ever seen the movie where johnny depp plays the drug kingpin, this was my life in the 80`s and 90`s, but not as the kingpin, but the son caught up in the game. We had police paid off, planes running dope from Mexico to USA. I saw corruption, racketeering, money laundering, even murder of DEA officials and witnesses for the state. An illegal immigrant who fled to Mexico after killing his boss for drug money in 2005 was sentenced to 40 years in prison Monday in Howard County Circuit Court.

It took Howard police and prosecutors more than four years to find and extradite Joel Nunez Valles from a Mexican jail, where he was confined for an unknown crime. Prosecutor Susan Weinstein said Valles’ sentence, life in prison with all but 40 years suspended, was the result of a plea agreement because the main witnesses were his own family members, who were “reluctant” to testify.

According to police, Valles, a cocaine addict, killed Juan Miguel Gonzales, 51, of West Friendship, the owner of a landscaping company where Valles worked. Valles stabbed Gonzales 19 times in the face, neck and chest with a screwdriver after the owner refused to give him cash for drugs. Valles took a bus back to Mexico the next day, though it took two days before anyone discovered Gonzales’ body.

“What’s important to understand is that Mr. Valles didn’t just take one life. Mr. Valles took the lives of my family,” said Gonzales’ son Alexander Garza, 23, in a victim’s impact statement. “You took any chances of my siblings having an argument with my father,” he said, as well as Gonzales’ ability to see his children graduate from Centennial High School, or later from college.
