Well, the best stuff I found was a product called OOPS! It’s made by the same company that makes Goo Gone (removes the sticky label adhesive). I found my bottle at the local building supply store. I will warn you, it is a bit stinky but it does work. Might take several spray, let it soak, scrub lightly in the sink and rinse sessions but as a rule the stain gets smaller and smaller each time.

For the dryer (which I made the son clean), he found that Simple Green worked the best. Now I do have a stainless steel dryer drum which would be less likely to allow the ink to soak in. We tried the hair spray, rubbing alcohol and a couple other home remedies and none of them worked too well. And sometimes, a good laundry stain remover that says it removes ink on the label will do the trick also.
