Talk to him…tell him you would understand why he was taking drugs…tell him we all fall off the wagon sometimes…we just have to jump right back on

Iv’e never been to rehab but a few friends of mine have. It seldom ever makes a differance, one friend went in for his cocain habit and came out knowing how to obtain and use heroin from anouther participant. People have to want to get clean they usually have to hit bottom and it wont happen till it happens. The 12 step program teaches you about thought patterns and triggers and how to get past them it worked for one person I know that used drugs and alcohol. But he had hit the bottom, lost everything, his home his girl, and almost his job. Lucky for him the placed we worked at gave him 90 days to get better, he started the program, lived in my bacement, road to work with me, and drove himself to meetings. Like I said he lost everything. His family gave up first then his girl, then he lost his appartment. Then he freaked at work and nearly lost job. I felt for him as I had kicked habits of my own in past. I offered to help as long as he made proggress, one screw up and he was out. It worked for him, now his family, parents and such have him over for holidays and things again. Not before, they were through, not that they diddn’t want to help, they just realized nothing worked. So they asked him to stay away till he was clean. It was a very hard road for all, but he had to want it, or it would not have worked. I know you love him but you have to put him in Gods hands now, ask him to heal you Son and do it in Jesus name. I will pray for you tonight, I will ask God to give you the streangth to bear this pain. God bless.
