Saw my dead grand ma in my dreams!?

My grand ma passed away four years ago. Early this year I saw her in one of my dreams. In the dream, I was returning home from school around 3PM. There’s about 60m path to my home from the main road which is about 8m wide that runs through our garden. Usually I walk from the main road to home after getting down from the school van. Both our house and grand ma’s houses are in the same 7acre plot. Her house is situated kind of at the edge of the plot while my house is situated right in the middle. There’s another road leading to her house connecting to our road in the midst. So, in my dream, I was returning home whistling and cracking dumb jokes to myself as usual. On the way, I looked at my grand ma’s house down there and saw her emerging from her house’s front door. I was like, “What the heck is she doing here? She’s supposed to be gone! She’s dead…this can’t be real!” I froze at the very spot and kept glaring at her with amazement. She was wearing an ordinary house coat which was gleaming white. She was trying to tell me something, something important but her voice wasn’t clear. She was stuttering. Now she was reaching me. Then I got scared as I didn’t want to interact with a dead person no matter how much I loved her! I started moving towards my home…long steps and pretty fast too! But my home was moving away from me like a mirage or may be I wasn’t moving. I looked back and then she was just a few feet behind me. I stopped moving and turned back. Her eyes were enlarged making her looking scarier than ever and arms stretched towards me as if to embrace me. She was murmuring, “Son…son” very feebly! She was trying to say something that she couldn’t say. Oh I should say, I’m a Buddhist and in Buddhism, there are particular phrases in Sanskrit you have to summon when you feel you’re endangered by something or person no matter live or dead. So she was still trying to say something and finally, she started trying to touch me. I dodged and jumped back. And started summoning one of those Sanskrit phrases and started moving away from her bit by bit. She started screaming, “NO…NO…NO DON’T! I’M BURING…!” Well, I didn’t care and I wanted her gone coz she was DEAD! I summoned, summoned and summoned hard with more concentration! It was awesome to see how great I could focus! A light smoke came out of her head and from her shoulder. She said “NO!” once again. Next moment, I waved my right hand pointing all my fingers at her focusing harder than ever, I flicked my fingers…with a great flame of fire and vaporized ash she exploded into dark gray smoke and disappeared in the thin air! My job was done, I started going back home again like nothing happened! Well, I should say I didn’t feel any scariness anywhere in the dream. I was like, cool. Super graphics and very detailed indeed! Anyone can help me with this? What it really means?
She said, “I’m Burning” because of my summonings…I knew that!

Please don’t freak out! It’s just a dream. And I don’t care how harsh you write regarding the dream as I want to solve this! Doesn’t matter!

Um…i think you need to go see a specialist or something because that is he most freakish dream ive ever heard of. I dont mean that in a bad way. I mean that this dream could be caused by something that is bothering you or something. Maybe you could go to a spychologist and tell them about the dream and they could help you.

im a christian it was most likely a dream from God. your grandma probably didnt accept christ as her savior. The only true way into heaven is through christ by asking him for for forgivness and asking him into your life. She is probably in hell for not asking god into her life. john 3:16 says that god sent his only beggotten son so that whover believes in him wont perish but have everlasting life. So when your Grandma said, in the dream, “i’m burning”, she probably meant she was in hell. p.s.{hope that wasnt too harsh.}

Got a lot of time in your hands, eh? I can tell from the ‘short story’ manuscript you’ve used here. But I suppose you’re curious and that should never be wrong.

First of all if the dream was this- detailed then chances are it’s something you conjured up yourself and not some sort of divine apparition. If you were frightened of your grandmother (why do we fear those we once loved upon so simple a cause as death?)this may indicate some fear or resentment towards her you had stored up while she was alive. Otherwise it may be that you never had a chance to tell her something and you resent yourself for it(a third possibility I shall present at the end of this account)
And the ‘phrases’ as you call them are infact Pali, not Sanskrit. I’ve told certain people time and time again to get their facts straight and spare the rest of us the unfounded claims. However, be that as it may, why do you say you weren’t afraid at any point when you’ve already mentioned you had? You wanted the dead person gone, and even though I reserve my judgement on you I suppose your fear is justified (and try not to be juvenile and deny fear); it’s possible you needed some sense of power and simply used the memory of your grandmother as a device to let it out. Indeed the attitude you express afterwards- thinking it ‘cool’ instead of ‘disturbing’ supports this hypothesis. It may also be your ego coming to terms with its fears, you obviously seem to have enjoyed ‘burning’ the apparition(regardless it was your own grandmother). A fear of ghosts, mingled with unresolved issues with your grandmother would be my diagnosis.
If you need to find some closure do something for her memory, like an alms giving or something- needn’t be anything overt, something simple would be better.

Also in reading some answers it is appalling that these people growing like weeds would choose to propogate religion even in this sort of case. The way of Christ my foot.

Of course it may all be your over-hyped imagination having a moment of glory at the expence of the memories of a dead relative. Which is it? You be the one to decide!
