You would NOT be wasting money on a lawyer. The money you spend now could be the difference in seeing your son free again in 5 years vs. 20, or never.

My little brother got 36 months for the same offense. He could have spent it on house arrest and by staying clean, he chose the house arrest but couldn’t stay clean, so now he’s doing the 36 months. He had a public defender. I’ve been praying for my brother that he can break the hold that that awful drug has on him. Cocaine makes good people do evil things. I’ll be praying for your son now too.
