Well Possesion of a Narcotic is a Class B Felony so there could be fines and up to 10 years incarceraton and a DUI isnt as severe but it carries fines and possible jail time up to 5 years max. Get a good lawyer.

Depends on many factors. Most important, is this the first arrest of any kind. Secondly is his age. As a juvenile, he has a better chance of getting off lightly. Thirdly, depends on where you live. Sadly, courts in certain states are much tougher on drug possession than in other states. Lastly, does depend upon circumstances and amount. What was his BAL, and was the possession in fact under class B felony status.

I really don’t think it should matter what kind of trouble he’s in for. Let him learn his lesson. If a parent reaches out to defend a child in the wrong, the child will keep doing wrong. Don’t feel sorry for him, let the law scare him.

He’s in a heap ‘o trouble, ma’am! If he were mine, the legal troubles would be the least of his problems, if you get my drift. He needs a good dose of “tough love.” And it should start with you. If you’re as concerned as you sound, then start being a parent and fulfilling your parental responsibilities before it’s too late.

What State? In Texas you always ask county too. Reason is no matter how you try to minimize it your son is in a heap of trouble. Better get a second job just for fines.

Ouch….
Depends on what state you are in and how old he is. If he got a DUI, he must be at least 21. Otherwise it would be an underage. DUI isn’t too bad, he may have some fines and some jail time. Possession of a narcotic is a felony, so that will hurt him big time. Hope you have a good lawyer.

more trouble than either of you want…..He needs to learn a lesson before he hurts himself or someone else….make him takes the full responsibility if he is going to learn anything
