pretend like nothing happened and act as if nothing happened because the past is the past and the past is something you bury whether you like it or not! Just welcome him back home and have fun with him as if he NEVER went in to drug rehab. If he wants to talk about it, then talk about it and then drop the subject. The most you can do is to act as if nothing happened because you have your son back.

Love him… TRY to trust him again.. Allow him to adjust, change habits in the real world, get a JOB, and get on his own.
Whatever you do, DO NOT be a crutch. I always say that if you allow someone to use you as a crutch, then you’ll be the one needing a crutch!
In the interim, and always: LOVE and PRAY!!!!

I have found in my personal experience, as well as watching those around me, the 3-6 months after leaving a treatment center is a very crucial time for anyone. What happens in this period is often what will continue to happen in the rest of this person’s recovery process.
I think that the best thing you can do is send them to an aftercare program. There is one in my town called Stages of Recovery. I have heard and seen nothing but good things coming out of there. They get the guys back to school and they all are learning a lot. I would find a program like Stages to send your kid to. Maybe even Stages itself.
