Recently I have been snooping around my sons room and found a baggy with these weird translucent rock things in a baggy. I asked my friend what they are and he said its called Meth along with the baggy I found a long Pipe and a lighter. What should I do?

DUDE.Meth is illegal!Throw away his stash but before You do,Give it to the police!And check other places he might have it(not just home/room),talk to you son about this and why he did it,It might be the peer pressure!

‘Meth’ is short for Methamphetamine, a drug that is basically one atom away from Amphetamine, a common drug for ADD treatment. Like ADD medications, Methamphetamine produces mental stimulation, but also a greater sense of euphoria and heightened self-esteem.
Do to its pleasurable effects, Methamphetamine can cause some users to become addicted, especially when it enters the bloodstream quickly (I.E. via inhalation, as with a pipe). While most users will never experience them, Methamphetamine addictions are notoriously debilitating.
Other than its addictive potential, Methamphetamine is a relatively benign drug. It causes very little damage to the mind and body with occasional use, and its effects do not alter one’s mental state such as to induce poor decision making.
If you trust your son to use good judgement and not overindulge, I would not bother concerning yourself with his Methamphetamine usage. Just remember that as with all unsupervised medication, it’s very important that if he chooses to use to use Methamphetamine he be fully informed about its hazards and contraindications.
If on the other hand you are worried about your son losing control of his usage, it may be a decision he should put off until he is an adult. Explain to him exactly why you would like to forbid it – don’t just say ‘because I said so’. If he disagrees with you, listen to him… Make it a real discussion, chances are you might learn something too.
