No it’s normal for him to wake up every two hours.

Not sure about the cord stump though. I think when it’s ready to come off it will – as long as it’s not infected, which you said it’s not – you should be fine.

Its okay about the feedings but i would see a doctor about the stump…should have been off by now.

Yes this is normal dont worry my soon is 4 months old and did this too. His cord stump sholud have fallen off a long time ago, I dont think it’s serious but you might want to call the dr, about that one. My son’d fell off 3 days after he came home and my nephews a week after so 6 weeks seems like a long time.

It is normal. He is still too young to sleep through the night. That will happen after a month or two at least. As for the cord, it will fall eventually. have you seen any adult with a cord? Don’t hurry, things will happen at their own time, and it will be sooner than you expect when your baby will be grown up and you’ll miss the time he was your baby.
Also don’t feed anything but milk at this age and talk to your doctor about everything!

my 4week old drinks about 5oz and wants to feed every two hours also, the doctor told me that i shouldn’t feed him and wait every three/four hours. but that’s impossible! he screams and cries until he is fed. last night, i tried a teaspoon of baby cereal in his formula (they say not to give it to them until 4months, but i know a lot of people that have done it) he loved it, and i wound up only waking up once last night. only the formula might not be doing it for him.

so if you want to try that, it saved me another sleepless night!
