Me & my son and the things in life?

I have a 32 year old son. That is recovering alcoholic since September he has been clean. I finally saw him last week and than today. I can see the pain still in him. lATELY IAM SCARED I don’t know if every week will set him off again to drink. can someone help me understand things what should I do who can I talk to about feeling this way thanks everyone

Go to AA meetings with him and talk to him. My mom went to rehab when I was 10 and she HAS fallen of the wagon a few times since then…13 years now. And my sister is a recovering meth addict. If he is to succeed he needs support it will mean alot to him to know you care so much about his recovery. he is lucky to have a mom like you

oh and you can also go to AA meetings by yourself to learn more about the whole thing believe me they will respect your concerns and you will be welcome there!!!

There are support groups for family members of addicts. Check your local yellow pages or the internet.

Check out this website for help. Its the friends and family part of AA. I know where you are coming from, my mom has been sober for 6 months now but its scary to think it could all be taken away and everything could go back to the way it use to be. Just check this site out, it will help you find a local group of people who are going through the same type of things you are. Good Luck and Best wishes!!!
