im 18, my wife is 16, we’re fighting for my son, how can i win?

i know we’re both young and neither of us has any money, but my home is much more secure and her home is full of alcoholics. plus i’ve graduated and it looks like she’s going to drop out. If i can prove her anger issues and that she never did anything with our son, can i win? it will be hard to prove any of that though.. but do you really think i have a chance? and Believe me, I never planned to do anything outside of marriage, and I never will again. I’ve grown since all of this. thanks everyone

Good luck, all courts encourage for both parents to be in the child’s life. Your son will also need his mother. It is best to try and work it out like responsible civil adults.

What do you think you will “win” by getting custody? The child will continue to be her son for the rest of his (and your) life. The sooner you grow up to find resolution that you and her WILL have a relationship for the rest of your lives – the sooner you will find peace in this car wreck you made.
You are looking at this from your eyes only. How about you stand back and take a look at this from the court’s eyes? And what they are going to see is your own selfishness and immaturity and they’re only charge is to find safety and comfort for this child that you are so willfully able to use as a tool for your own ambition.

I’m not sure what your question is are u asking about what u and she should do to raise your son together or are you thinking of getting a divorce. if that is the question why don’t the 2 of u seek some counseling before hand u are both very young and it can be so stressful trying to raise a baby. Why is she dropping out of school is there no one to help this young girl to care for the baby and home u have to understand she is young and needs some one to help her .

you can win by not fighting!!!!!!!!! speaking from experience, this will change you, change your “wife” & most improtantly, change your child from all the anger & mainpulations;;; PLEASE work together to raise him, even if that means shutting your mouth once in a while;; do not change what your son can be, & TRUST ME, the fighting will;; work it out with your lawyers; compromise, & make your son’s world as secure as you can by stopping the fight;; that doesn’t mean you have to stay together;; she probably feels the same way you do; & no one wants to lose their child!!!!!!! Start looking @ what is best for him, a secure environment in which he knows he’s loved, whether your there every minute or not, he’ll know he can count on you! STOP looking @ you or her & the WIN factor.

If you can show proof to all of your accusations. I don’t see way a court wouldn’t give you full custody.. It would also help if your parents are there to help take care of him too.

You’ll have to show proof too, That your home is more stable, and that you can support him fully.
