i’m just wondering, my son in law has been buying beer which my daughter has been consuming, can either of them get into trouble for it?
he’s 23 and she’s 19, they’re married and live in WA
yes even though she is married she is not of drinking age. he is contributing to a minor

Probably, but who’s going to tattle?

No, as long as it’s in their own home. Its not illegal to drink in ones own home as long as it doesnt end in a crime, like walking to town drunk. Then it is.
Its a federal law, these idiots are wrong and just are spouting the little info they know. When it comes to law, do more research than yahoo answers because it isnt as reliable as we’d all like.

He could get into big time trouble however it seems as though he won’t get caught if they are smart enough to drink at home.

Hopefully not.
She is married hopefully she is entitled to have a few beers.

He is breaking the law by providing the alcohol, and she is breaking the law by drinking it.
HOWEVER
If you were providing the beer instead of your son in law then both yourself and your daughter would be fine, it is legal for a parent/guardian to provide alcohol to a minor in Washington as long as they are at home (however it is illegal for HIS parents to supply her with alcohol)

No, she can’t get in any trouble on account of them being married and her being over 18.
