i need legal help on fighting for custody of my son, even when i have c.p.s. involved.?

i was tested possitive at birth for meth, when my son was born, my son tested clean, now cps is involved, and im going through treatments, but my boyfriend, my sons father is abusive and i want out, but i cant take my son with me, im clean now and just want best for me and my son, please anyone?

Just leave. You might be able to find a shelter if you cannot afford housing, but if you have a job you should be able to just move on with your life.

Why can’t you take your son with you, is it because the father has been given custody by cps?

If so, then you might just have to leave the child there. Unless you really feel that he will harm the child you might just have to do that. He probably won’t want the child if he can’t have you.

This is why you should chose carefully who will be the parents of your child.

I have little sympathy for anyone who would take drugs while pregnant, regardless of her excuse. You didn’t say why you can’t take your child. Is it because you were declared an unfit mother? If so you will need an attorney to get custody restored. If he is abusive (surely you knew that when you allowed yourself to get pregnant) then CPS will help you regain custody. Please be sure you can take care of your baby without harming him further by doing drugs or being physically abusive to him.
