I am a 32 year old man who is in dire straits here and I need some guidance. OK, I am going to be honest with you, I smoke crack a lot of crack. It isn’t something to laugh at, I can’t kick the stuff. When I was in high school I had a full ride to Clemson on a baseball scholarship, but I got hooked on crack and got a girl pregnant, and had to stay in Mobile AL. My son is now 11 years old and has a cannon for an arm. This kid is the next baseball phenom and he owes it all to me. A few months ago I was arrested for possession and was placed on probation. When I got home I snapped and smacked my 6 year old daughter with a computer monitor. The neighbors called the cops on me and now child services are taking my son away from me. I am not all that attached to my daughter, so that’s OK, but my son, he is my ticket out of here. I can’t lose him!!! What can I do?

One thing here is true, you DO smoke too much crack and thats why I can see how you may believe your own story. Thats all this is, a story derived from a drug addicted haze – none of this is true.

First of all grow up. If you want your kids bad enough you will go get help to get off of crack. Second of all, why are you playing favortism with your kids? All kids need a dad or a dad like figure. You need a lot of help before you can be a father…

4. you said your son was your ticket out of here? that is selfish.. kids are not to be used.
This is not good behavior.
No one is attacking you, but facts are facts… if you want to be a decent father change those 4 things in your life FIRST.
You mentioned your son has a good pitching arm and owes it to you? God gave him and YOU that pitching arm… now use your gift for good not for evil

Honestly, the only way you can get them back if even possible at this point is to show the courts that you are getting yourself clean. Coming from a CJ background I have not seen someone get their kids back that easy. You have to take many classes and be clean for a long time and then they will consider it.

4 saying you cannot kick an addiction is only a reason to not try hard enough. have you even tried to get help for it?
5 your kids don’t deserve a dad like you (no child does)

K….you already hurt kids. You have proven not to care about either one of them by all the actions. To even favor him over you daugther, hurts him more than being CPS’s custody. You already sunk your fate with your boy and well at this point unless you are clean and sober and learn that your daughter is just as important as you son, you might as well leave them alone. There is no reason for you to raise them or be in their lives. Unfortunately until you fully apologize and mean it, really mean it and feel like the biggest scum in this world, your children will not heal ever fully from your neglect and abuse. You doing any of this was emotional neglect as it was and yes favoring is part of that. The addiction is an excuse to not face your own mal-adjusted mental state. You have a chance to make a difference when they hit 18 but the state will not give them back for the favoritism one over the other, than add the addiction, criminal charges for the drugs and the assault, with fact your in complete denial of being the scum you are. Not happening, give it up and seek help and work your ASS off to get your kids to forgive you. That would be your only chance at redemption.
