I caught my son smoking crack cocaine, what do I do?

So yesterday, I saw my son with his friends doing “strange” things. They were snorting a white powder (which is crack). After awhile, he was saying things about Battletoads and Mudkips(He is a BIG pokemon player) Now yahoo, what do I do?
I found out who the drug dealer is.
His name is Sniffy, In California, and is 38

We need info. on your son. How old is he? Any problems in the past? Call the local hospital IMMEDIATELY and get him tested and into seeing an outpatient counselor. Clearly these friends are to be banned from your son’s life. Again, how old is he?

I would kick his butt first of all.I have four boys and i would send them away so fast their heads would spin.I know that’s not always an option.Seriously you need to get help for yourself so you know how to deal with it and then help for him.Get the other parents involved.Put a scare into him.Hopefully he’s not addicted by now.Im a single mom and 3 of my boys are teenagers 14,16,19 that worries me all the time,thank god they dont really interact with other kids much.well, i wish u luck.Keep in touch.If you want to email to vent gtr0801@yahoo.com………

If you want to save you son’s life get between him and drugs any way you can. Put him in rehab (which probably won’t work) Move to get him away from his friends. Put him in the military if he is old enough or send him to a boot camp. Job Corp (if you have it there) is a good choice too. Or as a last resort call the police on him. I have been thur this and I know what you are facing. Get real and get mean about it. Tough love is the hardest thing you will ever have to do in your life but might be the only thing that will save your son’s life.

You have to be tough on him and make him go down to the police station and you guys tell them what happened and then, if possible, find a way to make your son reveal who the seller of the stuff is—then the police can go straight to the source and cut it off, leaving your son in probably less trouble than he already would be(especially since he would have gone and confessed).
Then inform the parents or your sons friends + tell them it would be better off if they would not hang out with your son.

I really suggest that you try figuring out the name of the drug dealer and telling the police—that will prevent all the stuff from happening and help keep drugs off the street.

And of course you are going to want to get some help from your son–so he can deal with the withdrawl.

If you can find out the actual name, it would be better—nicknames don’t always work—unless he’s well known by the police.
