LOL!!!! thats great! not the meanest *mom*, just the best!
(only the best if the son was UNDER 21)
She wrote it like that so that the ad for the car would sell better and to teach him a lesson which i applaud her for about drinking and driving (he had alcohol in the car at 18)
Most mothers would just yell for 5 minutes or ignore the situation, she actually put her foot down and disciplined him in a way i think was fantastic and well conducted.
She wanted the ad to stand out from the rest which is why it read “un-cool parent’s” and “meanest mom”
Her son seemed quite happy and by far scarred from this….
I’m sure her son feels that she is.
It’s a sarcastic statement. You know how kids are always saying to their parents how mean they are.
Strict maybe… but not mean. Strict is good, at least she can say she still has her son and he’s not hurt or injured, nor did he hurt or injure anyone else.
its just a saying, dont take it too personal. lol
he was just angry
i would be too if my parents took away my car, because i use it alot.
Maybe selling his car makes her the meanest mother in the world but it makes him the most loved kid in the world.
She’s mocking her son, of course. He’s the only one likely to think that.
makes you a concerned MOM
HA! Good for the parent here!! That child-yes,child will get over it! You may have saved his/her life…That car was not a given and that child had to earn it!!
hell if I know but at least she did something. there are too many parents who wouldn’t do anything but slap them on the hand and say” that was bad”. props to her for taking action and letting her son know she loves him enough to show him how wrong he was!!
I hate to say this but she sounds like a real control freak who doesn’t trust her son. Why was she searching his car in the first place? I know people will view me as being too permissive but I believe in the honor system. I trust both my teenage daughters to make the right decisions for themselves. Children aren’t little puppets who need their parents to fight their battles for them. They need to make mistakes and learn from them so they can become mature responsible adults. In my personal observation, parents who are overly controlling of their children tend to have the children who are the most likely to rebel against them and get into trouble.
By the way, this is not a “child” we’re talking about here. He’s 19 and legally an adult.
I wonder who called whom that. Parenting is the toughest job in the world. Kudos to whomever the mom is who sold the car. That takes guts but hopefully it will be a lesson learned well by the son
It’s good to know the woman has what it takes to parent a juvenile delinquent!
Which is exactly what she had there. He’s a juvenile and he was delinquent in his responsibilities.
Good for the woman.
way to go mom.
