I have a paternity suit pending against my ex fiance. Our child is 4 months old and he has never seen the child, called, asked for pictures, or anything. He abandoned me when I was 14 weeks pregnant and I haven’t heard from him since (well once when he was really drunk and threatening me). He is an alcoholic. He has a DUI on his record. He drinks 1-2 CASES of beer per night plus whatever whiskey he can get. Everyone knows he is an alcoholic. I don’t want him around my son until he is sober. But how do you prove in court that a person is an alcoholic? He lives three states away.
Yes, I can. His brother was my roommate. He was there when the deadbeat drove off and saw how hard it was for me to go through the rest of the pregnancy alone. His brother also knows he’s an alcoholic.
