when you vomit on a child u cross all sorts of boundaries. especially an infant. please, go seek serious counseling and therapy. Maybe some AA. only then will she consider returning.

You kind of messed up? If you got so drunk that you puked on your infant son, it’s very VERY messed up. I don’t think she’s over reacting. If your drinking is that bad, you need to stop. Don’t try to force her to come home, that will just make her want to stay away from you more. You need to give her time and then go talk to her in person. You also need to apologize.

I wouldn’t try to force her to come home. Instead you should clean up your act because drinking definitely ruins your life; I know a lot of people who have seen the unfortunate side of life due to alcoholism. She’s not overreacting, she’s just mad and probably concerned for you because your wife would always want the best for you. I would really stop drinking if I were you. Seriously, being wasted feels terrible.

You can’t force your wife to come home. The fact that you think you can gives one some clues as to your normal behavior, and possible a domestically abusive relationship.

Thankfully, your wife has fled with your child. I would have done the same thing. You should ask yourself why she isn’t home, and figure out why you now have this situation. I can promise you it isn’t her fault. You hardly are a prize.

how can you expect her to come home if you are saying she is overacting, you have to admit fault and realize that all you did is not normal and it is not ok. You have an obvious problem.and by the way you can’t force anyone to do anything they do not want to .

You can’t do anything other than force yourself to seek help for your choices about drinking and drugs.

Your behaviour is disgusting and you need to realize this is way more than “kind of” messed up.

You should never use the word “force” and “wife” in the same sentence. I’d leave my husband for good if he ever got the notion he could force me to do anything against my will. Yeah, it’s that big of a deal.

That is pretty grotesque.

The fact that you can’t recognize that speaks volumes for your alcoholism.

Offer to go to counseling and to go to AA.

She is not overreacting and you fail to see her point of view. I think that instead of wasting her and your life you should balance your drinking first and then make your apologies in a proper way. it is very tiresome to live with an alkoholic person because he or she always thinks that all the people are overreacting by not accepting his drinking habit.

As a retired counselor, your wife done the right thing in leaving. You don’t deserve to have her back home right now. Her journey through life is not yours. You don’t deserve to have her return any messages. When you lose it all and bottom out long enough and hard enough is when YOU will go and get help. Never again attempt to poison her with your addictions. So there is NO forcing ever except for you to get help and get well. By you writing “I think she is majorly over reacting” is YOUR denial that you have a problem and she is not the solution.
