My 18 year old son just stayed at a hotel, which has a minibar in all rooms (of course, featuring alcohol). The hotel did not check for ID as it should have?
What can be done? Can we bring any type of charges on them? Providing alcohol to a minor?

Hotel did not check ID, sure of that. The Credit Card they did take 
The manager is being rude, so I want to know if there are actual legal issues with what they did.
Well it’s a misdemeanor to knowingly sell to a minor, but did they actually not ID him? I only ask because geez kids do LIE about stuff like that, and well, they do have fake ID’s….
So if he really did check in without photo ID, and they did give him a key to the mini bar, the only thing that will happen is the poor sap who did it will lose his job, and the hotel will get a tick on their license until they get enough ticks to lose it altogether.
Wouldn’t it be better to simply call the hotel and complain and if they don’t seem concerned then call the corporate office and complain and if you’re still not happy? Call the local police.
