She has been away from me for sometime. Now she’s home and I’ve found out that she works as a stripper at a nearby strip club. I’m afraid she may be an escort/prostitute as well. She’s out with a different guy almost each night. She is with me because she got evicted from another apartment. I have tried to tell her that stripping has gotten her nowhere. She can’t even hold housing for herself. She has also admitted to cocaine use. She’s too old for me to punish. How can I help her see how wrong it is for her to exploit herself. She laughs at a $300/wk regular job. Child Protection took her 4 yr old son 8 months ago because she sleeps till 1:00 p.m. and the child was unsupervised all the time. She says she loves him and want him back, but she won’t give up the cause of her problems: drugs, alcohol, stripping and whatever else she may be doing. Any advice?

Throw her out and save yourself.Do not try to save her or you will go down with her.Throw her out today and tell her to not come back.Let her laugh at that for a while.
She will bring you real trouble in a short amount of time and untold trouble in the long run.She can be the ruination of YOUR life. -

I am really sorry to hear that your daughter is in the position that she is in. You have no control over the choices she makes, but you do have over the ones that you make. You need to let her know that you love her, but will not enable her. You need to have her move out of your home, and be responsible for her own actions. That does not mean you do not Love her. But as long as you support her she will continue as she is, and if she does not change, at least you tried to help her. Stand by your morals. some day she will be grown and have to account for her actions if not to you then to her son. As we know the toughest kind of Love is tough Love, but it can be the Love that matters the most.

There isn’t anything you can do about another persons addictions but you might get some information and support if you locate an “NAR-ANON” support group in your area. The group is usually made up of people in similar situations. You might check your local phone directory or search NAR-ANON on your computer….Good Luck… P.S. Its free

Tell her about the Green River Killer who only killed prostitute. Most of these pimps/john only go after women like these cause its easier for them to do what ever they want to them. If she dosent stop she will end up dead! She obviously dosent care for her self or anyone around her. She is going to hit rock bottom end up a crack house whore. .
Call the cops on her when you find drugs in your house and put her in jail for her own good. They may be able to put her in some kinda rehab program. And be on her A$$ 24/7 dont give up on her because if you do shes good as dead! -

You love your daughter and that is understandable, in wanting to protect her still.
BUT she is an adult and has made her own choices and decisions. You are no longer responsible for her……you can give all the advice you want…..if she doesn’t want to change her life……DON’T SUPPORT HER LIFE…. by letting her live with you. IF she’s old enough to live by her own rules then KICK HER OUT and let her live by them too. CHANGE the locks on the house too.
No one is questioning how much you care and love her …but she doesn’t care about herself……..she is using you…don’t enable her. No one will judge you if you kick her out….you have done all that you can.
Are you in a position to raise your grandkids? The best way to help her might be to take custody of her children and give them the love and environment she can’t.
When she’s ready, you can be there for her. But for now tough love is the only answer. If she’s never ready to change her life…….know that you did your best.

sounds like it is time to gather friends and relatives together and meet with a professional interventionist its time to start an intervention before it goes to far and there is no pulling her back from the edge. get her the help she needs she will be mad, upset, in denial, but get her help i cant stress this enough. i hope everything works out many prayers sent your way.

Well, Mom, I don’t even know where to begin. Of course, she laughs at a $300/week ($7.50/hour) job. In most markets, that’s barely enough, after taxes, to afford a basic hole-in-the-wall apartment and barely enough garbage bachelor junk food & microwave dinners for a month, if that much. So, get real. If you truly care about your daughter’s job prospects, try to figure out what sorts of good-paying jobs (ones that pay her for her brains rather than for her body) she can do and what sorts of education she needs in order to qualify for said jobs. Now, at the age of 25, your daughter probably sees her job as a showgirl (and possibly escort?) within the context of the notion that a woman has (or should have) the right to do whatever the hell she wishes with her body (and I agree with such notions). Since you are old enough to have a 25 year old daughter (you are, what, at least 43 years old?), you see from the perspective of age and experience that that’s nice in theory, but that far too many men do not respect a woman’s right to do as she wishes with her body and you want your daughter to be respected. So, it is up to you to figure out how to say this to her lovingly and phrase it in the context of concern for her future. About the kid, btw, the thing I wonder about is why the father isn’t man enough to care about his own flesh & blood (btw, I’m a guy). PS – The alcohol & drugs may be a way to mask the psychological pain of dealing with men who don’t love her & respect her in the morning.
