Basically, Obama is currently trying to push through an all inclusive bill protecting human rights. I have no problem with this except for one small part. There is an addition to this bill that prohibits a parent from invading their child’s privacy.

So basically this means if my son/daughter is smoking crack, having sex with their boyfriend/girlfriend, or getting ready to blow their brains out I can’t kick in the door to stop them without telling the police and getting a warrant. And before anyone starts saying that I’m going over the top the bill clearly states, “A parent may not invade or violate the privacy of anyone living within the household for any reason that might want to be kept private.”

I believe that an active, positive, and nurturing parent would be able to communicate honestly about what is going on under their roof.

If your daughter is smoking crack or porking her boyfriend I would say that proper parenting discipline has long been abandoned and yeah they shouldn’t have a right to chime in once it has gone that far.

Keep a closer eye on your children and their friends if you think this law inhibits you from parenting in a crisis management type style.

“that might want to be kept private”

That does not cover actions that a child can do that is illegal, harmful to himself, or harmful to others. Besides that, there are countless other laws that say you can do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself, your property, and your children.

Without reading the law, I doubt there will be an issue. The scenario you describe would never be realistic.

thats not just america doing that. That is part of a national organization, tho which only America and Samolia do not belong to it. In general its a comittee of 18 in switzerland telling the world how to raise their kids and what they can and cant do to them

That sounds like a strange law. I guess parents will have to change the rules at their house so they can keep a eye on things. Also don’t let grown kids live at home. I think the grown one are the trouble makers.

Where did you directly quote that from? That doesn’t even make sense seeing has he has 2 young girls. I’m sure there will be times in the not too distant future where he will want to knock down their doors to know what’s going on. Please provide a link to the bill. I’m really curious about this. Maybe it’s buried in the bill he already signed (since nobody read it, who knows what’s in it), or in the next huge pork legislation bill that again, nobody has read.

You sure won’t hear the facts from Keith Olberman, Rachel Maddow(however she spells her name) or Chris Mathews.

All the lefty reporters are in the tank for Obama and will never report anything that is (1) a fact and (2) not favorable to Obama. All other things get reported whether true or not, as long as they blame Bush, Blame Republicans, or blame Rush Limbaugh for something.

But don’t underestimate liberals, they will come up with all sorts of weird ideas and think they are brilliant.
