Got a question and need some info on my sons relationship?

I need a little help and i am going to make this as short as possible.i have a 20 year old son that has been in a toxic relationship with this girl who just turned 18 in November.To say the least the girl has several mental issues, depression, low self esteem are her high points.They started to go out in january 2008, come to find out she was dating a drug dealer and was already at 16 hooked on drugs. My son told her she had to quit and agreed but that was of course BS. they went out until march of 2009 she broke up with him because she cheated on him at a drug hose party.They were broke up until this September. She claims to going to counseling and is off the drugs. When she came back into my hose she was bone thin and saw her have the shakes several times. The relationship was not the best and around Thanksgiving she did her usual MO. Which is she finds somebody who she thinks is more interesting cheats with that person dumps my son and in a few months it does not work out and she comes crying back to my son and like an idiot he takes her back.His best friend is Guatemalan and very Street smart and he was telling me this girl lied about being off drugs and that she is snorting Roofies, vicaden, oxy cotton, adderal and taking Ecstasy. My sons friend really hates the girl for all the grief she has been giving my son.His friend says she is bleeding from the nose which means its coming from her brain and that the problem will be solved and world will be less on junkie.The question is is my sons friend right is this girl headed for a early grave.He gives her two years.I don’t like the girl but i don’t want her dead i want her scared straight. the other question i have is their any help for her or is she to forgone at this point.. thanks

there is only help if she wants help. And even from that it’s going to be a long road. But from what you said I would try to tell your son that she is not worth it.

Rehab is what she needs.
Maybe talk to her family.
The only way to really scare he silly is to have your son refuse to talk to or see her until she agrees to get help.
If he loves her then he would be willing to do that so she can get better.
Again, what about her family? Her parents?

Your son’s friend is more than likely right. She is headed down a bad road and a good percentage of the time at that age they are at the point of no return. I was in the same kind of relationship and I didnt know she was doing it but my mom and dad told me she was no good for me, but you know that a young male has to figure out things for himself. And love blinds you, when you really love somebody, you only wanna see the good and block out the bad. I can tell you now that he knows a lot more than he leads on, why would he want you to think bad about the one he loves, not saying he is not telling you the truth about things but I bet its not the whole truth. He is headed for a heart break, but sometimes thats what we have to have to open our eyes, I mean I had to learn the hard way and I am a much wiser person, and it will teach him that when mom tells you whats best for you she dont tell you cause she wants to hurt you but because she loves you and may have been there and just knows whats right. Just be aware, the ones we love can influence us more than anyone, talk to her about the drugs around your son, not saying that he would, but you know what I mean. Time takes care of all, dont worry, it will fix its self watch and see.

She needs like a serious intervention. If you really care you should look into some drug treatment facility’s that she will have to be check into and stay for a while where someone is constantly watching her and helping her shake the addiction. It sounds serious. I don’t know anything about the effects of drug use so I would be able to put a time line on her life. But you should seriously talk to your son he sounds as if he needs to learn his self worth he shouldn’t have even involved his self in this kind of situation. He is missing something key in his life as well if he is resorting to dating junkies so maybe you should talk to your kid about his love for a junkie

Till she realizes she has a problem ? There is nothing anyone can do to help her ! It won’t be too much longer before she kills herself.
I hope that your son is not having sex with her ! Being on drugs she will do anything to get more drugs ! If giving her body away is a way, she will do that ! She may already be in contact with AIDS or something else.
Your son is the one that has to make up his mind as to what he wants to do ! If you try to separate them you could loose him. He needs as much help as he is willing to let you give him.

Sounds like she is already almost dead, to be bleeding from the brain? That is sos scary. I think that she is too far to turn back. If she really wanted to stop she would have.

I think you should tell her that you are getting a restraining order against her, and she will not be allowed near her son. One thing is that you are going to have to have your son agree to it too! Tell your son that you need to do this so that she can catch a wake up very quickly otherwise it will be too late, tell him that you are helping her in the long run. And through that time hopefully your son will meet someone else that deserves him.

It is hard to live with a drug addict, aswell as a past addict. As most turn back to the drugs. Else you are just going to have to turn her in and the police will get her into rehab and she will have to stay in rehab.
