Can you find out if a CPS report was filed on my son’s mother?

I recently got custody of my son however, the mother is now pregnant again and due in October. She is suppose to have a UA done on her baby at the time of birth for Meth. I have been concerned about Meth use around my son as well. but have never been able to prove it. Recently I heard from a mutual friend that CPS is suppose to do this UA on her baby. I know that it is none of my business regarding her baby but I am wondering if anyone knew if I could follow up with CPS regarding my son in this case also. Has anyone ever worked with CPS, or have any suggestions how I go about doing this?

your concerns are real, however, you dont have any reason to know about what happens with this new baby as its is not your child so no…the information CPS collects is not public information, it would be a waste of time to try to find out anything…

No because the child in question is not yours. And it’s not a matter of public record. Sorry.

Call CPS. Tell them you are a father and are concerned because you believe your ex is doing meth and what do you need to do to get your son out of that kind of sitation? When I had them sicked on me (by my ex), they were wonderful people. They were kind and caring and concerned. They might not be able to do anything for you but at least you will know where you stand. You only tell them about your son unless they ask and they should – why do you think she is still doing meth? they will ask -a mutual friend told you cps was requiring a UA test on her baby – don’t offer the information until they ask – don’t act accusatory or demeaning towards your ex – only care and concern for your son . . .

CPS should tell you whats going on with her. If not go to a lawyer and he will get the info if not demand that she take a test. If you have custody of your son you call the shots. Get her tested Meth heads are on and off all the time when she binges and your son is there watch out he may end up in the microwave don’t laugh its happened more then a couple times
