MY wife went to jail for crack possession and I am ready to divorce her. WE have been thru alot and its time to let her go. Is it possible to divorce her when she is in prison? She is an awful mother and would often smoke crack infront of my sons. After the abusive fights and the constant drinking I woke up and is now 13 days clean and Im ready to start over.

Yea, but it is VERY difficult depending on your state. Instead, you should move, wait for the day of her release, and file for divorce. Also, if neither you or her have been to the courthouse to claim custody of your sons then you better get on it. The first to file without contest wins and since she is in prison it will be hard for her to contest; especially since no one will tell her about it.

Yes, you can divorce her and looks like you need to.
Good luck to you, I hope you straighten out for good so you can take care of your boys. Time to think about them and not yourself. Make sure you get the help you need to stay sober, you can’t do it alone. AA had been around a long time and for good reason, their program works for those who want it to.
