BAC; How long does it take for alcohol to dissipate in the body?

Regarding breathalyzers and blood tests for alcohol (BAC); how long does it take for alcohol to dissipate in the body? Can a person show a 0.00 on a blood test, but still have had a drink earlier that night?

I think it takes 1 hour for 1 drink to dissipate.

I don’t know if someone could show a 0.00 on a blood test ever. I have heard there is something in food that can change it. Also, I have heard cough drops can change the tests.

Many factors affect the dissapation factor, How much you weigh, how much you have eaten in relation to when you take your drink, how much you drink and how soon after you have eaten. How active you are with the booze and food in your stomach.
