Are Chinese People Large Consumers Of Alcohol, Drugs and Cigarettes?

Please answer this question. And if you can,Will you please find some statistics or proof of your answer.
If this is true are they trying to cut down and making laws against smoking?
The reason for this question is my son is going over to China and he is a teenager and I do not want him near any of this kind of stuff. Thanks.

your kid dont need to go there i went there with my friend he ended up going to jail for no reason he was born in china and was arrested and just came back 5 years in jail in china i was 15 when this happened i got out fine cause i know people but if he does go tell him not to start anything trust me

Chinese men enjoy cigarettes and the occasional glass of wine, sometimes a big glass. Illegal drugs are unheard of in China thanks to the death penalty. One joint equals one bullet in the head. Sorry to make you laugh, but China is a funny place.

Yes, yes and yes.

Chinese are always big on cigarettes offer them a packet of foreign brand and why go bananas and yes they are trying to bring in laws.

As for alcohol, yes, many bars, KTV /bars offer bottle of spirits for drinking, something that is unheard of in the West.

As for drugs, China’s modernisation and growth has meant people have money to waste on stuff. It is common in parts of Beijing to be offered drugs on the street, which has led to several drug raids being carried out in Sanlitun.

Also it is known that in some Beijing nightclubs drugging of drinks by bar staff occurs.

Large consumer of alcohol yes a bottle of tsingtao beer is just 4.8% alcohol, practically water
There are no laws against smoking in China, you can buy double happiness brand in China
Heavy drugs are not common but is available, ruffies and ecstasy are common.

When I went to visit China, there were millions of people smoking there. I dont think they sell cigaretts to teenagers. Im not sure about the laws though, cause i see only adults smoking on the streets of busy citys.

cigarettes- yes. booze is not that readily available in quantities like US.

China has a huge cigarette culture and people smoke everywhere.

Alcohol consumption is also high.

Frugs are available, but less so. Penalties for possession are tough; for dealing in narcotics, death.

OH YEAH!!

but no age limit to buy beer. i bought beer for my dad when i was in elementary school in china. however if your 21st b-day is tomorrow, they won’t sell u beer in US. Yet kids here can find beer anyway, how ridiculous. If they can drink underage, it’s heaven for them.
